Caesarstone® 1111 Vivid White is the lightest, most vivid solid white selection from the Israeli engineered quartz manufacturer Caesarstone. The polished slab shows a luminous pure white, almost UV-brilliant base tone with no discernible mineral stippling, no veining, no clouds – the uncompromisingly lightest white in the entire Caesarstone range. About Caesarstone® Quarz 1111 Vivid White

Background. Caesarstone was founded in 1987 at Kibbutz Sdot Yam in Israel and is regarded as one of the pioneers of industrial engineered quartz slab production. The company produces its slabs in the Bretonstone® vacuum vibration compaction process and has for decades been one of the globally leading brands in this material segment. The variant presented here, 1111 Vivid White, comes from the brand's pure solid colour line (1xxx coding), in which Caesarstone gathers its most uncompromising single-coloured selections – Vivid White is the lightest position within it, considerably more brilliant than the likewise white 2141 Snow.

Material composition. A classic Caesarstone quartz slab consists of around 90–93 % natural quartz (SiO₂), about 7–10 % polymer binder on a polyester resin basis as well as pigments and mineral additives. Quartz has a Mohs hardness of 7 (compared with calcitic marble at Mohs 3) – which makes engineered quartz slabs considerably more scratch-resistant, more acid-resistant and non-porous. In spring 2024, alongside the classic quartz line, Caesarstone launched the Mineral™ line, in which a large proportion of the crystalline quartz has been replaced by other mineral aggregates – this changeover is a direct response to the global discourse on the risk of silicosis during fabrication; the selection documented here, 1111 Vivid White, corresponds to the historical quartz mixture.

The 1111 Vivid White variant. In design terms, Vivid White is the most uncompromising slab in the entire Caesarstone library. The base tone is a luminous, almost UV-brilliant pure white with no discernible mineral stippling – cleaner and lighter still than 2141 Snow, which shows fine quartz mineral dots in places. Vivid White is consistently pigmented throughout, without veining, without clouds, without veils, without scatter. The design is deliberately oriented towards an architectural character of maximum brightness: a white box, reduced lines, complete light reflection. The slab is regularly installed in research kitchens, clinical construction, concept stores, galleries and in prestigious private kitchens with an uncompromising solid white ambition.

Format and fabrication. Caesarstone supplies the slabs in the standard format 306 × 144 cm as well as the jumbo format 327 × 162 cm, in thicknesses of 2 and 3 cm; individual lines also in 1.2 cm and 0.6 cm (Caesarstone Slim) for wall claddings and furniture fronts. The slabs can be cut, profiled, drilled and edge-worked with diamond tooling. Standard edges are square, chamfered (V-chamfer, 45°), rounded (R3, R5) and executed profile edges such as bullnose, half-round or a mitred edge joint for 90° corner connections.

Thermal and chemical properties. Engineered quartz is considerably more acid-resistant than marble, because the quartz aggregates are themselves inert to acid and the polyester makes up only a small volume fraction. Even so, the following applies: highly concentrated acids (hydrochloric, sulphuric, nitric acid) and aggressive industrial chemicals attack the binder. Heat resistance extends to about 150 °C for short periods; hot pots, frying pans or baking trays must never be set down directly on the surface, because direct heat over points can cause discolouration or stress cracks. UV resistance is limited – the slab is clearly conceived as an interior material and should not be permanently installed in fully sunlit conservatories or open loggias.

Comparison. Vivid White is the lightest, cleanest white in the entire Caesarstone portfolio. Stylistically related is 2141 Snow – both are solid white selections without veining, but Vivid White is considerably lighter, more uncompromising and without discernible mineral stippling; Snow shows a very fine quartz stippling at close range. Against competing products such as Silestone Iconic White or Compac Pure White, Vivid White remains comparably light in tonal value. Against genuine Statuario or Thassos marble, the slab appears clinical, geometric and without a play of natural veining – a deliberate architectural statement, not a natural stone pretender.

Warranty and brand. Caesarstone offers the “Caesarstone Forever” lifetime warranty on its slabs in residential applications, with clearly defined care and fabrication conditions. The brand is established across Europe among architects, interior fitters and premium kitchen studios.

Our honest assessment. 1111 Vivid White is a material for clients and architects looking for a genuinely uncompromisingly brilliant white – lighter and cleaner than any other Caesarstone solid white variant. Anyone who wants natural marble character with lively veining is ill advised with Vivid White; anyone who needs a clean, neutral, long-lasting UV-brilliant solid white working surface will find scarcely a more consistent choice in the entire engineered quartz market. On an extremely light slab, dirt and stains become particularly clearly visible – Vivid White demands greater daily care in everyday use than most other selections.

Caesarstone® Quarz 1111 Vivid White is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

A glossy surface with the highest possible degree of colour intensity — the standard finish in the engineered stone and engineered quartz segment. Easy to care for in everyday use and resistant to common household acids. A prestigious choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and exposed surfaces with a classic high-gloss character.

Care & fabrication

Cleaning. In everyday use, warm water, a soft cloth or a clean mop and a neutral to slightly alkaline pH cleaner are sufficient. Soapy engineered stone cleaners, mild all-purpose cleaners, mild washing-up foam and special engineered quartz care products are suitable. Caesarstone recommends its own care products (Caesarstone Cleaner) – these are not essential, but well matched. Take up spilt liquids – wine, coffee, juices, oil – promptly in everyday use, because every shadow is immediately visible on a brilliant white surface; the material itself, however, is largely stain-resistant.

Do not use. Concentrated acids (sulphuric, hydrochloric, nitric acid), concrete and rust removers, paint strippers, oven cleaners, acetone, petrol, thinners, nitro cleaners and very strongly alkaline industrial cleaners are off limits – they can attack the polyester resin. Also avoid chlorine-based bleaches in high concentration. Do without abrasive pads (steel wool, green scouring pads); scratching is undesirable on the polished surface and particularly visible on the UV-brilliant slab.

Impregnation. A classic natural stone impregnation is not necessary – engineered quartz is inherently dense and non-porous, and water absorption is below 0.05 %. A sealant would tend to show on the surface as a veil.

Care intensity on a brilliant white slab. Vivid White is the most brilliantly white selection in the Caesarstone range – on this extremely light slab, all soiling, water rims, limescale marks and matt abrasion traces become immediately visible. We recommend wiping dry daily with a soft microfibre cloth and mopping up all spilt liquids immediately. The slab is visually unforgiving – every stain shows, but thanks to its lack of pores it can usually be removed effortlessly.

Kitchen. 1111 Vivid White is a classic kitchen material. Despite its high material hardness and acid resistance, the following applies: use chopping boards (knife marks can leave the polyester resin matt over time) and use trivets for hot pots and pans – direct heat over points can cause local discolouration. Direct contact with a hot baking tray (above about 150 °C) risks stress cracks. On site, the dishwasher must not run in full contact directly beneath the slab – heat protection is standard practice. On the brilliant white surface, coffee stains, berry juice, tomato and red wine are visually particularly conspicuous, but can usually be removed without a trace if dealt with promptly.

Bathroom. In the bathroom, Vivid White is very well suited as a washstand, wall cladding, bath surround and shower. Do not use anti-limescale sprays and limescale-dissolving bathroom cleaners in high concentration, and wipe standing water away promptly in the shower area so that a limescale film cannot build up – on the UV-brilliant slab, limescale rims are even more distinct as light traces than on 2141 Snow.

Outdoors and frost. Not suitable for external construction. Polyester binder yellows under UV radiation – on a light slab, any shift in tone is particularly clearly visible. Freeze-thaw cycles can lead to micro defects. Nor is it recommended for permanent use in fully sunlit conservatories or open loggias – Caesarstone explicitly excludes external use and fully sunlit interior surfaces from the warranty.

Warranty and repair. In the residential sector Caesarstone grants a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects (“Caesarstone Forever”), subject to fabrication and care to standard by certified specialist firms.
