How your natural stone price is made up

There is no credible flat rate per square metre for natural stone. Even the material price alone depends on type, slab thickness, product form and finish - the same type costs differently polished than brushed, in 2 cm than in 4 cm.

And the final price of a finished worktop only takes shape at the fabricator anyway - through cutting, edges and installation. Which factors specifically come together, you can see below.

Six factors behind the natural stone price

These points explain why the same stone is priced very differently — and why a single flat figure is misleading.

Material type & variety

Robust standard varieties differ significantly from exotic marbles, premium quartzites (e.g. Taj Mahal) and onyx. Rarity, quarry availability and import route determine the value of a variety.

Product form

Raw slab, floor or terrace slab, tile, skirting, riser and tread, or block ware - every product form follows its own calculation. Special formats and cuts are calculated differently from standard formats in stock.

Thickness / slab depth

Material thickness has a direct effect: the same variety is noticeably different at 2 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm or 6 cm - as a rule, the thicker the slab, the higher the price.

Surface finish

Polished, honed, satin-finished, flamed, water-jetted, sandblasted or tumbled - every finish means additional processing effort and affects the price.

Quantity & availability

Wholesale quantities are calculated differently from single pieces. Goods available ex-stock in the live stock system can be delivered faster than special orders made to your request.

Delivery route & processing

Collection or delivery, distance and quantity affect the final price. The biggest factor for the finished piece is processing - cutting, edges and installation by the specialist firm.

Trade customer or private customer?

How you get your natural stone terms depends on who you are — choose your path.

Trade customer / fabricator

View material & unlock prices

In the live stock system you see all materials and their availability - you unlock trade prices by registering or requesting a quote. Even without unlocked prices, you can request a quote for your material selection at any time.

Private customer / client

Prices through your local fabricator

We do not supply private customers directly. A qualified stonemason or kitchen studio in your region will put together a complete quote for you, including material, cutting and installation.

Three steps to your terms

For trade customers: from your B2B account through live stock to a concrete quote.

1

View material in the live stock

Anyone can view the live stock: all materials with availability, dimensions and thickness. Only the trade prices are initially hidden.

2

Register or request a quote

Register yourself in the live stock system or request a quote directly for your material selection - this also works without unlocked prices.

3

Unlock trade prices

Unlocking takes place after your quote request via our inside sales team, or on request via the contact form - you can also be invited by us.

Live stock instead of catalogue prices

Material visible at any time, prices after unlocking

Our live stock system shows in real time which slabs are available - with slab count, dimensions, thickness and reserved stock. Material and availability are openly visible; trade prices are unlocked after registration or a quote request. Even without unlocking, you can request a quote for your material selection at any time.

Natural stone prices — honestly answered

What does natural stone cost per m²?

There is no credible flat figure. The price depends on the type, the slab thickness, the product form and the finish - and the final price of a finished worktop only takes shape at the fabricator through cutting, edges and installation - and fabricators calculate very differently. We explain the factors transparently; your fabricator determines the exact price for your project, and trade customers receive their terms after B2B unlocking.

Why does the same stone cost different amounts?

Because several factors interact: the same variety costs noticeably differently at 2 cm, 3 cm or 4 cm thickness, differently polished than brushed, and differently as a raw slab than in the form of tiles, terrace slabs or special formats. On top of that come order quantity, delivery route and, above all, processing. That is why there is no fixed price per square metre - terms depend on variety, quantity and how the material is sourced.

Can I get prices directly from ROSSITTIS as a private individual?

We supply the trade and fabricators. Private customers and clients receive a solid complete quote - including cutting, laying and installation - through a qualified stonemason or kitchen studio nearby. You can find the right specialist firm through the fabricator search.

How do trade customers get their prices and terms?

Anyone can view the live stock with all materials and their availability - trade prices are initially hidden. To unlock them, register yourself in the live stock system or let us invite you; unlocking follows a quote request through our inside sales team or on request through the contact form. Even without unlocked prices, you can request a quote for your material selection at any time.

Is there a public price list?

No - the price depends on variety, thickness, product form, finish, quantity and processing, so we put terms together individually. Trade customers receive their prices via B2B unlocking; private customers a complete quote through the fabricator.

What does natural stone cost for a worktop or terrace?

That depends on material, thickness (often 2-4 cm for worktops), format, finish and, above all, processing - cutting, edges and installation are a separate craft service provided by a specialist firm. Which materials are suitable, you can see under Kitchen & worktops and Terrace; private customers receive their quote through the fabricator search.

Ready for your terms?

Trade customers unlock their B2B account and see the live stock. Private customers find a suitable fabricator nearby who takes care of material, cutting and installation.
