Engineered quartz from India

Caesarstone® Quarz 2141 Snow

Caesarstone® 2141 Snow is one of the purest solid-white selections from the Classico line of the Israeli engineered quartz manufacturer Caesarstone. The polished panel shows an almost entirely single-colour, pale pure-white ground tone with barely visible, very fine mineral speckling — no veins, no clouds, no variation. At ROSSITTIS we fabricate the large-format panels into pure white kitchen worktops, vanity tops, wall claddings, internal stairs, window sills and bespoke internal components with a clear, minimalist architectural character.

About Caesarstone® Quarz 2141 Snow

Background. Caesarstone was founded in 1987 in Kibbutz Sdot Yam in Israel and is regarded as one of the pioneers of industrial engineered quartz panel manufacture. The company produces its panels using the Bretonstone® vacuum vibro-compaction process and has been among the globally leading brands in this material segment for decades. The variant presented here, 2141 Snow, comes from the brand's Classico line, in whose code logic the leading 2 indicates single-colour, calm selections without veins or cloud figures — the design counterpart to the marble-inspired 5-series selections (Calacatta style) and the industrial 4-series concrete panels.

Finishes

Caesarstone® Quarz 2141 Snow is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Cleaning. In everyday use, warm water, a soft cloth or a clean mop and a neutral to slightly alkaline pH cleaner are sufficient. Soapy dimension stone cleaners, mild general-purpose cleaners, mild washing-up foam and special engineered quartz care products are suitable. Caesarstone recommends its own care products (Caesarstone Cleaner) — these are not essential, but are well matched. Wipe up spills — wine, coffee, juices, oil — promptly in everyday use, because every shadow is immediately visible on a pure white surface; the material itself is, however, largely stain-proof.

Do not use. Concentrated acids (sulphuric, hydrochloric, nitric), concrete and rust removers, paint strippers, oven cleaners, acetone, petrol, thinners, nitro cleaners and very strongly alkaline industrial cleaners are out of the question — they can attack the polyester resin. Also avoid chlorine-based bleaches in high concentration. Do without abrasive pads (steel wool, green scouring pads); scratching is undesirable on the polished surface and particularly visible on the pure white panel.

Sealing. A classic natural stone sealer is not required — engineered quartz is inherently dense and pore-free, and water absorption is below 0.05 %. A sealer would tend to show on the surface as a veil.

Kitchen. 2141 Snow is a classic kitchen material. Despite its high material hardness and acid resistance it holds that: use chopping boards (knife marks can dull the polyester resin over time) and use trivets for hot pots and pans — direct heat at points can cause local discolouration. On direct contact with a hot baking tray (above about 150 °C) stress cracks are a risk. The dishwasher must not run in full contact directly under the worktop on site — heat protection is standard practice. On the pure white surface, coffee stains, berry juice, tomato and red wine are visually particularly apparent, but can usually be removed without trace if dealt with promptly.

Bathroom. In the bathroom, Snow is very well usable as a vanity top, wall cladding, bath surround and in showers. Do not use anti-limescale sprays and limescale-dissolving bathroom cleaners in high concentration; in the shower area, wipe standing water away promptly so that a limescale film does not build up — on the pure white panel, limescale rings are quickly visible. Floors and stairs. The finishes currently available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down this page. Dirt-trapping mats at the entrance reduce the ingress of scratching particles.

Outdoors and frost. Not suitable for external construction. The polyester binder yellows under UV radiation, and freeze-thaw cycles can lead to micro-defects. It is also not to be recommended permanently in fully sunlit conservatories or open loggias — Caesarstone explicitly excludes external use and fully sunlit internal surfaces from the warranty.

Warranty and repair. In residential applications Caesarstone grants a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects (“Caesarstone Forever”), on condition of standard-compliant fabrication and care by certified specialist firms. Frequently asked questions

What kind of material is Caesarstone® 2141 Snow?

It is an engineered quartz material from the Israeli manufacturer Caesarstone, from the Classico line. High-purity natural quartz aggregates (around 90–93 % by volume) are compacted into large-format panels with approximately 7–10 % polyester resin, pigments and additives in the Bretonstone® vacuum process. 2141 Snow is one of the purest solid-white selections of the brand.

Does 2141 Snow have veins or a cloud figure?

No. Snow is deliberately conceived as a solid-colour panel — without veins, without clouds, without veils. From a middle distance the surface reads as evenly white throughout; close up, only a very fine quartz mineral speckling appears that gives the panel subtle depth.

What is Snow suited to in design terms?

To reduced, architectural interior schemes with a solid-white ambition: research kitchens, healthcare and medical practice construction, concept stores, boutique hotels, prestige private kitchens with minimalist lines. Snow is expressly not a Calacatta marble imitation but an independent neutral architectural panel.

What panel formats and thicknesses does Caesarstone offer?

Standard format 306 × 144 cm and jumbo format 327 × 162 cm, in thicknesses of 2 and 3 cm. Individual lines are also available in thinner gauges (1.2 cm and 0.6 cm “Slim”) for lightweight wall claddings and furniture fronts.

What does the Caesarstone Mineral line mean, and does it affect 2141 Snow?

In spring 2024, with the “Mineral” line, Caesarstone introduced a new material generation in which a large part of the crystalline quartz was replaced by other mineral aggregates — as a response to the international discourse on the risk of silicosis during fabrication. The selection documented here, 2141 Snow, belongs to the classic quartz mixture; a Mineral variant can be checked on request, if available.

Is 2141 Snow suitable for kitchen worktops?

Yes, that is its core domain. Engineered quartz is more acid-proof and more scratch-resistant than natural marble and marble agglomerates. Even so it holds that: use chopping boards and trivets for hot pans, because the polyester resin can react sensitively to point loading. Direct heat exposure above about 150 °C can cause discolouration or stress cracks.

Which cleaners may I use?

Warm water, neutral to slightly alkaline stone care products, mild general-purpose cleaners and special Caesarstone care products are permitted. Concentrated acids, concrete and rust removers, paint strippers, oven cleaners and strong solvents such as acetone, petrol or thinners are out of the question. Abrasive pads should also be avoided.

What warranty does Caesarstone offer?

In residential applications Caesarstone grants a lifetime warranty (“Caesarstone Forever”) against material and manufacturing defects, on condition of standard-compliant fabrication and care. The warranty is handled through authorised specialist firms; ROSSITTIS assists with the documentation. External surfaces and fully sunlit internal areas are expressly excluded.
