Engineered quartz from India

Caesarstone® Quarz 5141 Frosty Carrina

Caesarstone® 5141 Frosty Carrina is a delicate, light marble-look selection from the Israeli engineered quartz manufacturer Caesarstone, part of the 5 series. The polished slab shows a cool, almost pure white base tone, run through with very fine, hazy light grey vein lines and subtle cloud structures – stylistically an allusion to the classic Italian Bianco Carrara marble in its calmest and lightest selection. At ROSSITTIS we fabricate the large-format slabs into kitchen worktops, islands, washstands, wall claddings, interior stairs, window sills and made-to-measure interior components with a restrained, elegant Carrara character.

Engineered quartz material from the marble-inspired Caesarstone 5-series (Caesarstone Ltd., Israel), based on high-purity natural quartz aggregates (≈ 90–93 % quartz, ≈ 7–10 % polyester resin) – not a naturally formed stone and not a marble imitation in the literal sense. Variant 5141 “Frosty Carrina” with a cool, almost pure white cream white base tone and very fine, gossamer light grey vein lines in a delicate Carrara character.

About Caesarstone® Quarz 5141 Frosty Carrina

Background. Caesarstone was founded in 1987 at Kibbutz Sdot Yam in Israel and is regarded as one of the pioneers of industrial engineered quartz slab production. The company produces its slabs in the Bretonstone® vacuum vibration compaction process and has for decades been one of the globally leading brands in this material segment. The variant presented here, 5141 Frosty Carrina, comes from the brand's 5 series, in which Caesarstone gathers its marble-inspired selections with veining – within it, Frosty Carrina occupies the lightest, most delicate position as the light Carrara sister of the somewhat more characterful 5000 London Grey.

Finishes

Caesarstone® Quarz 5141 Frosty Carrina is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

A glossy surface with the highest possible degree of colour intensity — the standard finish in the engineered stone and engineered quartz segment. Easy to care for in everyday use and resistant to common household acids. A prestigious choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and exposed surfaces with a classic high-gloss character.

Care & fabrication

Cleaning. In everyday use, warm water, a soft cloth or a clean mop and a neutral to slightly alkaline pH cleaner are sufficient. Soapy engineered stone cleaners, mild all-purpose cleaners, mild washing-up foam and special engineered quartz care products are suitable. Caesarstone recommends its own care products (Caesarstone Cleaner) – these are not essential, but well matched. Take up spilt liquids – wine, coffee, juices, oil – promptly in everyday use.

Do not use. Concentrated acids (sulphuric, hydrochloric, nitric acid), concrete and rust removers, paint strippers, oven cleaners, acetone, petrol, thinners, nitro cleaners and very strongly alkaline industrial cleaners are off limits – they can attack the polyester resin. Also avoid chlorine-based bleaches in high concentration. Do without abrasive pads (steel wool, green scouring pads); scratching is undesirable on the polished surface.

Impregnation. A classic natural stone impregnation is not necessary – engineered quartz is inherently dense and non-porous, and water absorption is below 0.05 %. A sealant would tend to show on the surface as a veil.

Kitchen. 5141 Frosty Carrina is a classic kitchen material. Despite its high material hardness and acid resistance, the following applies: use chopping boards (knife marks can leave the polyester resin matt over time) and use trivets for hot pots and pans – direct heat over points can cause local discolouration. Direct contact with a hot baking tray (above about 150 °C) risks stress cracks. On site, the dishwasher must not run in full contact directly beneath the slab – heat protection is standard practice. On the light, almost pure white slab, dark stains (red wine, coffee, berry juice) are clearly visible, but can usually be removed without a trace if dealt with promptly.

Bathroom. In the bathroom, Frosty Carrina is very well suited as a washstand, wall cladding, bath surround and shower. Do not use anti-limescale sprays and limescale-dissolving bathroom cleaners in high concentration, and wipe standing water away promptly in the shower area so that a limescale film cannot build up.

Outdoors and frost. Not suitable for external construction. Polyester binder yellows under UV radiation, and freeze-thaw cycles can lead to micro defects. Nor is it recommended for permanent use in fully sunlit conservatories or open loggias – Caesarstone explicitly excludes external use and fully sunlit interior surfaces from the warranty.

Warranty and repair. In the residential sector Caesarstone grants a lifetime warranty against material and manufacturing defects (“Caesarstone Forever”), subject to fabrication and care to standard by certified specialist firms. The surface finishes available in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of material is Caesarstone® 5141 Frosty Carrina?

It is an engineered quartz stone from the Israeli manufacturer Caesarstone, part of the marble-inspired 5 series. High-purity natural quartz aggregates (around 90–93 % by volume) are compacted into large-format slabs with about 7–10 % polyester resin, pigments and additives in the Bretonstone® vacuum process. The veining is created using differentially pigmented mix batches introduced into the mould in several layers.

What exactly does Frosty Carrina look like?

A cool, almost pure white cream white as the base tone, run through with very fine, hazy light grey vein lines and subtle cloud structures. Stylistically a delicate Carrara character – considerably more subtle than high-contrast selections such as 5151 Empira White, somewhat lighter and cooler than 5000 London Grey.

How does Frosty Carrina differ from 5000 London Grey?

Both are light Carrara-look selections of the 5 series. Frosty Carrina (5141) is lighter, cooler and with considerably finer, hazier vein lines. London Grey (5000) shows a somewhat warmer greige tone and more powerful grey veins. The choice is a stylistic decision between delicate and frosty (Frosty Carrina) and calm and warm (London Grey).

Which slab formats and thicknesses does Caesarstone offer?

Standard format 306 × 144 cm and jumbo format 327 × 162 cm, in thicknesses of 2 and 3 cm. Individual lines are also available in a thinner thickness (1.2 cm and 0.6 cm “Slim”) for lightweight wall claddings and furniture fronts.

What does the Caesarstone Mineral line mean, and does it affect 5141 Frosty Carrina?

In spring 2024 Caesarstone introduced a new material generation with the “Mineral” line, in which a large proportion of the crystalline quartz has been replaced by other mineral aggregates – as a response to the international discourse on the risk of silicosis during fabrication. The selection documented here, 5141 Frosty Carrina, belongs to the classic quartz mixture; a Mineral variant can be checked on request, if available.

Is Frosty Carrina suitable for kitchen worktops?

Yes, that is its core domain. Engineered quartz is more acid-resistant and more scratch-resistant than natural marble and marble agglomerates. Even so, the following applies: use chopping boards and trivets for hot pans, because the polyester resin can react sensitively to point loads.

Which cleaners may I use?

Warm water, neutral to slightly alkaline stone care products, mild all-purpose cleaners and special Caesarstone care products are permitted. Concentrated acids, concrete and rust removers, paint strippers, oven cleaners and strong solvents such as acetone, petrol or thinners are off limits. Abrasive pads should be avoided.

What warranty does Caesarstone offer?

In the residential sector Caesarstone grants a lifetime warranty (“Caesarstone Forever”) against material and manufacturing defects, subject to fabrication and care to standard. The warranty is handled through authorised specialist firms; ROSSITTIS assists with the documentation. External surfaces and fully sunlit interior areas are expressly excluded.

What does Caesarstone® Quarz 5141 Frosty Carrina cost?

The price depends on the format, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
