Very high localised heat (contact with a hot pan base straight from the oven) should also be avoided — we recommend the consistent use of trivets or pan rests, because the polymer bond is temperature-sensitive.

Care & fabrication
As a quartz composite material, Caesarstone 6313 Turbine Grey is considerably easier to care for than natural granite of a similar look. Impregnation is not required — the material is almost pore-free and takes up practically no liquids. Routine cleaning is done with a mild, pH-neutral cleaner or a solution of warm water with a little washing-up liquid, applied with a soft microfibre cloth or sponge. Strongly colouring substances such as red wine, coffee, oil or tomato sauce should not soak in, but should nonetheless be taken up promptly so as not to load the polymer layers at the surface unnecessarily. Avoid aggressive solvents (acetone, thinners, stubborn paint strippers), strongly alkaline heavy-duty cleaners and abrasive steel wool — they can dull or damage the polymer binder. Important: quartz composite is temperature-sensitive. Do not set hot pots or pans straight from the oven or off the hob down on the slab without a trivet — localised heat above about 150 °C can cause visible discolouration or cracks. Caesarstone 6313 Turbine Grey is designed exclusively for interior use; avoid direct UV sunlight over long periods, as it can age the polymer components.

Can Turbine Grey be used outdoors?
No. Caesarstone recommends the material exclusively for interior applications — the suitability for interior surfaces is explicitly highlighted on the product page. Direct UV sunlight can age the polymer binders over longer periods and lead to colour changes. For exterior worktops and outdoor kitchens, UV-stable sintered materials or certain natural hard stones are the more suitable materials.
