Onyx Verde Pakistan Light brings colour into the room without appearing shrill. The light green to mint-coloured basic mood, combined with softly running zones and translucent depth, makes the material particularly interesting for calm, high-quality interior schemes. In contrast to very colourful onyx pictures, this version appears more controlled and more elegant. At ROSSITTIS we stock the stone above all for projects in which a rare green tone with a light effect is sought.
The material comes from Pakistan, from the province of Balochistan. It belongs to the group of onyx rocks and is therefore a decorative, lime-bound internal stone. In backlit applications in particular, Onyx Verde Pakistan Light shows what distinguishes it from many other green stones: the light travels through the slab and makes colour nuances visible that would appear markedly more restrained without illumination.
Technically the stone should be planned carefully. The bulk density lies at around 2,730 kg/m³, the water absorption at about 1.3 %, the compressive strength at around 139 MPa and the flexural strength in the range of about 9 to 11 MPa. These values indicate a decorative natural stone that is load-bearing but should not be treated like a hard rock. Acid sensitivity, sensitive edges and the correct substructure remain the important issues.
At ROSSITTIS, Onyx Verde Pakistan Light is available as a raw slab, backlit wall panel, vanity top, counter front, table top and as bespoke work for interior fit-out and furniture. The stone works particularly well in spa areas, bathrooms, foyers and exclusive residential projects. Combined with bronze, warm timber or dark metal in particular, a very high-quality picture emerges.
Our frank assessment: Onyx Verde Pakistan Light is not a stone for robust everyday use and no solution for external surfaces. But if you are looking for a light green onyx with a light effect and elegant calm, it is among the more interesting options in the range.

Onyx Verde Pakistan Light is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.
Polishing is the preferred finish for onyx — the mirror-smooth surface brings out the material's varied colour character in full. The highest possible colour intensity and deep light reflection. Onyx is acid-sensitive and softer against scratches than marble — recommended for wall cladding and designed visible surfaces, less so for worktops.
You should clean and care for Onyx Verde Pakistan Light carefully, since the surface is acid-sensitive and has a relatively open structure. A sealer makes sense for surfaces in use. Clean with pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths. You should avoid vinegar, limescale removers, scouring agents, dark stains left over a longer period and mechanical loading at the edges.
Yes, that is precisely where the material shows its strengths. The light green colouring and the translucent structure are particularly impressive when backlit.
The stone comes from Pakistan, from the province of Balochistan. Various green and light onyxes are won there which are in strong demand in international trade.
Only with reservations. For decorative areas this can work; for hard everyday loading, onyx is markedly more sensitive than quartzite or granite.
Clean it with pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and keep a sealer refreshed regularly. Acids, scouring agents and standing stains should be avoided.
Onyx Verde Pakistan Light is more translucent and more decorative; green marble is mostly denser and somewhat less complicated in everyday use. Where the light effect matters, the onyx has clear advantages.
Above all for backlit walls, counters, vanity tops, bathrooms and exclusive interior fit-out surfaces with controlled loading.
The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
