Ambra Dorata is an amber-coloured Brazilian quartzite with linear banding and a warm effect both outdoors and indoors. At ROSSITTIS it is used for floors, stairs, wall claddings and external surfaces, wherever a golden-brown stone with the hardness of a quartzite is called for.
Ambra Dorata lives on warmth and direction. Its colouring moves between amber, golden brown, honey and sandy tones, often in clear linear bands. This makes the stone read not as diffuse but as ordered and architectural. On larger floor areas, stairs or wall claddings in particular, this produces a warm, high-grade surface with a markedly natural character.
The stone comes from Brazil, from Bahia, and is listed in the trade as a quartzite, described petrographically more precisely as a quartzitic sandstone. For practical application the trade classification is decisive: on the market, Ambra Dorata stands for a hard, quartz-rich stone with strong competence both outdoors and indoors. Compared with soft limestones or travertines it is markedly more resistant; compared with cool grey quartzites, noticeably warmer and more Mediterranean in expression.
Thanks to its quartz-rich structure, Ambra Dorata is of great interest for internal and external applications, even though the same depth of published individual test values is not always available as for standard quartzites. Typical and decisive for the specifier are its high hardness, good weathering resistance and great suitability for floor, stair and wall applications.

Poliert
Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung für Quarzit — eine glänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und ausgeprägter Tiefenwirkung. Je nach mineralischer Zusammensetzung kann die Wirkung stellenweise mattglänzend sein. Als Silikatgestein vollständig säurebeständig und kratzhart — ideal für Küchenarbeitsplatten und Sichtflächen.
Care & fabrication
As a quartz-rich stone, Ambra Dorata is comparatively easy to look after, but should nevertheless be sealed on worktops and in bathrooms. That makes cleaning and care easier and reduces staining.
For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and a soft cloth or brush are sufficient. Aggressive cleaners are usually not necessary.
In the kitchen, oil, coffee and coloured liquids should nevertheless not be allowed to dry on. Even robust quartzites benefit from regular maintenance cleaning.
Outdoors, clean drainage, suitable finishes and a proper substructure matter more than special chemistry. Textured surfaces are often the best choice there.
