Oasis Red comes from Pakistan and is among the most colour-intensive limestones in the international natural stone trade. The characteristic red colouring arises from iron oxide inclusions in the limestone matrix; the organic inclusions and fossil structures visible in the surface document the sedimentary history of the material over millions of years.
In terms of colour, Oasis Red moves through a spectrum from terracotta red through wine red to darker brownish-red tones that vary depending on the block and the cut. This depth of colouring gives the stone a particular warmth and presence, which appears spectacular in large-area installations and comes into its own especially in detail applications – wall niches, feature surfaces, water tables.
As a limestone, Oasis Red is more acid-sensitive than granite or quartzite and requires appropriate care. For applications in which the visual effect matters more than maximum everyday robustness – walls, reception areas, bathrooms – Oasis Red is an extraordinary choice. At ROSSITTIS it is available as an unsized slab and in special formats.

Oasis Red is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.
Polishing is the most classic finish for marble and limestone — a glossy surface with the highest possible colour intensity and a pronounced depth to the veining. Depending on the mineral composition, the effect can be matte-gloss in places. Acid-sensitive — wine, lemon and vinegar leave etch marks after prolonged contact.
Oasis Red should be impregnated after laying and cared for regularly with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Limestone reacts sensitively to acids – take up lemon juice, vinegar or descalers immediately. The intense red colouring can be affected by moisture on unsealed surfaces – a good impregnation is therefore particularly important.
Oasis Red is a natural limestone from Pakistan.
The red colouring arises from iron oxide inclusions in the limestone matrix – a natural phenomenon that occurs frequently in certain Pakistani and Iranian limestone deposits.
Only with conscious care. As a limestone, Oasis Red is acid-sensitive; for intensively used kitchens, granite or quartzite is more robust.
Impregnate after laying, clean regularly with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner, no acidic agents.
The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
