Anden Yellow is a yellow-golden Brazilian quartzite with a natural riven appearance and strong external credentials. At ROSSITTIS it is used for floors, stairs, external paving and wall cladding wherever a warm natural stone with quartzite hardness is wanted.

About Anden Yellow

Anden Yellow is a warm quartzite for external and contract surfaces with a clear natural stone effect. Its colouring moves between yellow, golden beige, sand and lighter quartzitic tones, frequently with a natural riven texture rather than a smooth surface. This makes the stone appear friendly, robust and clearly building-stone-like. On stairs, paths, terraces and wall surfaces in particular this can be very convincing.

The stone comes from Brazil, from the São Tomé area, and is traded as a quartzite. Compared with cooler grey quartzites, Anden Yellow brings markedly more warmth to a surface. Compared with limestones or sandstones of a similar colour it is more robust and markedly less problematic outdoors. That makes it particularly interesting for the German-speaking market wherever a warm tone is to be combined with genuine weather resistance.

Anden Yellow is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Satiniert

Die Oberfläche wird gebürstet — weichere Minerale werden gezielt entfernt, es entsteht eine leichte Tiefe und mattes Erscheinungsbild. Geaderte Quarzite erhalten so eine besondere Charakteristik. Säurebeständig und kratzfest, pflegeleicht im Alltag — beliebte Alternative zur Politur in modernen Küchen und Wohnräumen.

Satiniert kalibriert

Wie satiniert (gebürstete Mattoberfläche mit subtiler Tiefe), zusätzlich mit kalibrierter Rückseite: Die Plattenunterseite ist plan geschliffen für gleichmäßige Stärke. Vereinfacht die Verlegung mit hoher Maßgenauigkeit — ideal für Bodenflächen, Treppenstufen und Verklebungen mit hohen Toleranzanforderungen.

Spaltrau

Die Oberfläche entspricht einer natürlichen Spaltung des Gesteins — matte, raue Anmutung mit hoher Rutschsicherheit und naturhafter Wirkung. Empfohlen für Außenbereiche, Mauerverkleidungen und stark beanspruchte Pflasterflächen. Die Plattenstärke kann durch die spaltraue Bearbeitung leicht variieren.

Care & fabrication

As a quartzite, Anden Yellow is easy to look after and very well suited to external surfaces. A sealer can make cleaning and maintenance easier still on interior surfaces or in wet areas.

For cleaning and maintenance, water, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and, on textured surfaces, a soft brush are sufficient. Aggressive specialist chemistry is usually not needed.

In kitchens or interiors, oil, coffee and coloured liquids should nevertheless not be allowed to dry on. Even robust quartzites benefit from regular routine cleaning.

Outdoors, functioning drainage, a suitable substructure and a finish appropriate to the use matter more than chemical care. Textured finishes have the advantage there.
