About Branco Quarzit
Branco Quarzit lives from calm and direction. The base colour is white to light grey, often with fine linear veins or a delicate bedding pattern reminiscent of Macaubas types. This makes the stone read as cool, elegant and clear, but not sterile. On long worktops, wall surfaces or generous floor compositions in particular, a very ordered effect emerges. Anyone looking for a white stone but wanting to avoid the restlessness of many colourful granites will find a highly convincing alternative here.
The stone is traded from Brazil and sits close in the market to pale Macaubas and Luce Di Luna types. Decisive is its quartzitic structure: it brings the brightness of a fine white stone, but considerably more hardness and chemical composure than marble. For kitchens, bathrooms, stairs and selected external applications it is precisely this combination that is of interest. Compared with Bianco Carrara, Branco Quarzit reads as harder, clearer and less classically marble-like.
As a quartzite, Branco Quarzit typically sits in a technically strong range: bulk densities around 2,695 kg/m³, water absorption around 0.23 % and compressive strengths around 165 MPa are normal for this rock type. That is precisely what explains why the material is considerably easier to maintain in everyday use than pale marbles. At the same time, quartzite remains a natural stone that needs good slab selection, clean fabrication and sensible finishes. Poliert
Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung für Quarzit — eine glänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und ausgeprägter Tiefenwirkung. Je nach mineralischer Zusammensetzung kann die Wirkung stellenweise mattglänzend sein. Als Silikatgestein vollständig säurebeständig und kratzhart — ideal für Küchenarbeitsplatten und Sichtflächen.
Care & fabrication
Branco Quarzit is easier to maintain than pale marble, but should nonetheless be sealed in kitchens, bathrooms and on floors. That makes dealing with grease, limescale and coloured liquids easier.
pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths are enough for cleaning and care. Pale surfaces benefit when metal marking, coffee, tea and cosmetic residues are not left standing for long.
Strongly abrasive products are unnecessary, especially on polished surfaces. Not because the quartzite is delicate, but so that the pale surface stays calm and closed.
Outdoors, the choice of finish, drainage and correct installation are decisive. Even a robust quartzite benefits from clean structural planning.
