About Dorato Valmalenco

At first glance Dorato Valmalenco shows no pure gold, but a greenish-grey to grey-gold colour image with warm yellowish inclusions. It is precisely this mix that makes the stone interesting: it is lively but not colourful, and across larger surfaces it looks distinctly architectural. The coarse grain and the largely directionless structure give a robust, honest material effect that is particularly convincing outdoors and on heavily used surfaces.

Poliert

Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung im Hartgesteinsegment — eine spiegelglatte, hochglänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und maximaler Tiefenwirkung der Mineralstruktur. Als säurebeständiges Silikatgestein ist polierter Granit pflegeleicht und für Küchenarbeitsplatten, Wandverkleidungen und repräsentative Sichtflächen erste Wahl.

Geschliffen C120

Mattes Erscheinungsbild durch groben Schliff mit Körnung C120 — die ebene Oberfläche zeigt eine zurückhaltendere Farbintensität als poliert und kann sichtbare Schleifspuren tragen. Im Vergleich zur Politur pflegeintensiver, aber stilistisch ruhiger; bevorzugte Wahl für moderne Innenarchitektur mit reduzierter Reflexion.

Geflammt + 1 x gebürstet

Die Oberfläche wird durch Hitze aufgeraut und einmal gebürstet, um scharfkantige Mineralreste zu glätten und loses Material zu entfernen. Etwas sanftere Haptik als rein geflammt, weiterhin rutschhemmend, Farbe weniger intensiv als poliert. Standardwahl für Außenbereiche, Terrassen und stark beanspruchte Bodenflächen.

Care & fabrication

Depending on the installation situation, Dorato Valmalenco should be treated with a suitable natural stone sealer, above all on floor surfaces, stairs and façades outdoors. This makes ongoing maintenance easier, even though the stone itself is technically robust.

For cleaning and maintenance, water, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft brushes or cloths are suitable. On textured external surfaces, dirt, biological growth and de-icing salt residues should be removed regularly so that the surface stays technically clean.

Acidic cleaners are, within the usual range, less critical on this gneiss than on calcareous stones; nevertheless, aggressive household chemicals and permanent films of dirt are no good solution. Gentle cleaning and maintenance remains the better strategy.

For external surfaces in particular: clean and maintain regularly, ensure water run-off and remove winter soiling early. That keeps the slip-resistant texture functional in the long term.
