About Estremoz Rosa

Estremoz Rosa is a marble for projects that need to combine warmth and elegance. The ground colour moves between a delicate rosé, beige, ivory and pale salmon, with white and grey passages and occasionally a softly golden note. It is precisely this mix that makes the stone interesting: it is coloured but not gaudy, classic but not heavy. For stairwells, bathrooms, window sills and prestige interiors that is a solution with a great deal of character.

The stone comes from the Portuguese marble region around Estremoz and Vila Vicosa and is also known under names such as Rosa Portogallo or Rosa Aurora. On the market it is one of the best-known coloured marbles of Portugal. Compared with Estremoz Branco it is markedly warmer and more decorative; compared with strongly brecciated rosé marbles it usually stays calmer and more elegant. If you are looking for soft colour rather than hard contrast, this is the right place.

Finishes

Estremoz Rosa is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Estremoz Rosa should be sealed carefully after installation. Water absorption is low, but as a marble the material remains sensitive to acids and staining agents.

For cleaning and maintenance, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners are suitable. Acidic cleaners, descalers and aggressive bathroom or kitchen chemicals should not be used.

Cosmetics, coffee, wine, lemon and oil should be removed promptly. On polished, paler rosé tones, shadowy stains or dull patches show up relatively quickly.

For external areas, restraint is sensible, particularly with polished surfaces. The greatest strength of Estremoz Rosa lies clearly in high-quality interior fit-out.
