Other trade names: Dreaming Green
Green Abbey is a Chinese marble from the category of exclusive decorative marbles that are internationally sought after for their exceptional, dramatic veining. What makes it special is the interplay of the characteristic green veins — formed by mineral inclusions such as chlorite or serpentinite — with golden-brown tones and the light, creamy white ground stone.
The slab image of Green Abbey is lively and expressive: broad, flowing green bands alternate with finer veins and create an almost painterly effect reminiscent of abstract art or tropical landscapes. Every slab is unique, which makes the use of this material a matter of careful selection from the actual slab.
As a marble, Green Abbey reacts sensitively to acids like all calcareous rocks. For wall claddings, prestige floors, bathrooms and statement furniture surfaces, however, it is an exceptional choice that has no equal. Its green colouring makes it particularly effective in combination with dark timbers, brass and modern interior architecture concepts.
At ROSSITTIS, Green Abbey is available as a raw slab and in special formats.

Green Abbey is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.
Marble like Green Abbey reacts sensitively to acids. Wipe up acidic substances such as lemon juice, vinegar or wine immediately. Seal after installation and clean regularly with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Do not use abrasives. On individual slabs the green inclusions can be more sensitive than the white calcareous portion.
Green Abbey is a marble from China.
The green veins arise from mineral inclusions such as chlorite or serpentine-like phases that were worked into the structure during the formation and metamorphosis of the calcareous rock.
Only with conscious care. As a marble, Green Abbey is acid-sensitive; for kitchens, granite or quartzite is more robust. As a wall surface or vanity top in the bathroom it is ideal.
Seal it, use a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner, no acids, no abrasives.
