About Green Witch Schiefer

Green Witch Slate is not a glossy effect stone, but a material with an attitude. The colour lies between dark green, grey and earthy shades, joined by the layered texture typical of slate. This makes the surface appear natural, calm and archaic at the same time. In external areas, on stairs, wall claddings or in reduced interiors in particular, the stone develops a strong presence without being loud. Compared with black slate, Green Witch is more colourful and more distinctive, but remains considerably more controlled than green-veined marbles.

Care & fabrication

Green Witch Slate should be sealed after installation, particularly on floor areas, stairs and outdoors. This reduces the uptake of moisture and dirt without closing off the natural structure.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and — depending on the surface — a cloth, mop or soft brush are suitable. Riven slate surfaces in particular should be freed of sand, soil and organic deposits regularly.

Avoid strongly film-forming care products and aggressive dirt removers that leave residues in the structure. Slate can best be cleaned and cared for if the surface remains open and clean.

Outdoors, clean and care for the surface regularly, remove autumn leaves and moss growth early and refresh the sealer at suitable intervals. In this way the colour stays calmer and the structure stays clean for longer.

Green Witch Slate or black slate?

Green Witch Slate appears more colourful and earthier, black slate more neutral and more severe. Technically both lie in the robust slate segment.
