Anden Yellow Mixed

Anden Yellow Mixed is a Brazilian quartzite with warm honey-yellow to creamy beige colour bands and a fine sedimentary bedding structure — an exceptionally warm pictorial composition with a landscape character. A riven finish with outstanding slip resistance for external facades, garden paths and warm Mediterranean external architecture.

Brazilian quartzite (a crystalline recrystallised quartzite) from the Precambrian shield areas of Brazil, with a preserved metamorphic bedding foliation. Mineralogically dominated by quartz with iron oxide pigmentation producing the warm yellow to honey-cream tonalities. Mohs hardness approx. 7, high compressive strength, low water absorption, fully acid-, heat- and frost-resistant.

About Anden Yellow Mixed

Anden Yellow Mixed is a Brazilian quartzite from the extensive metamorphic shield areas of Brazil.

Geologically it is a crystalline recrystallised quartzite with a preserved metamorphic bedding foliation. The warm yellow to honey-creamy tonalities arise from iron oxide pigmentation of the quartz components; the bedding banding reflects the original sedimentary deposition of the parent materials.

Anden Yellow Mixed is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Riven

The surface corresponds to a natural cleft of the stone — a matt, rough character with high slip safety and a natural effect. Recommended for outdoor areas, wall facings and heavily used paved surfaces. The slab thickness can vary slightly because of the riven, split-face working.

Care & fabrication

Anden Yellow Mixed is a dense Brazilian quartzite with full acid, heat and frost resistance.

Daily cleaning: a soft cloth or soft mop, warm water, a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner.

Sealing: recommended every 18–36 months.

External application: frost-capable when properly installed with drainage. Use de-icing salt sparingly in winter.

Repair: damage can be evened out by proper regrinding.
