About Aurora do Macauba

Aurora do Macauba comes from the Macaúba region of Brazil and is among the highest-quality and most sought-after quartzites the Brazilian natural stone market has to offer. The characteristic slab pattern shows a pale grey-white crossed by blue, azure and silvery veins – a colour combination that is rare in nature and unique as a natural stone.

The blue colouring arises from inclusions of kyanite or similar blue mineral phases that became embedded during the metamorphic formation of the quartzite. The result is a stone that combines brightness, clarity and a hint of sea blue – a material that appears almost luminous in a polished finish.

Finishes

Aurora do Macauba is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert
