About Ceppo Verde

Ceppo Verde works through a deep base tone shading from moss green to bottle green, in which black and dark grey mineral zones read as a high-contrast direction of movement. The slab image is distinctive and expressive — not a neutral background, but a stone with a clear architectural identity. That makes Ceppo Verde interesting for projects in which material, colour and structure are set deliberately: bookmatched wall surfaces, prestige bathrooms, dark kitchen worktops, reception areas.

Geologically, Ceppo Verde comes from Iranian deposits and is assigned to the granite family in the natural stone trade. The high-contrast mineral marking is created by embedded dark silicates and ore minerals in a dense matrix typical of hard stone. With a Mohs hardness of around 6, the material sits in the classic hard stone range — acid-resistant, with very low water absorption and reliable frost resistance.

Care & fabrication

As a hard stone, Ceppo Verde is fully acid-resistant — wine, lemon, vinegar, coffee or descaler leave no etch marks on the surface. That is the decisive difference from marble and makes the material easy to look after in the kitchen, the bathroom and outdoors.

For kitchen worktops and vanity tops we recommend a single application of a sealer on a silane or polysiloxane basis. It prevents oily and greasy soiling from penetrating and makes daily cleaning easier. For interior wall and floor surfaces, sealing is optional.

Daily care is carried out with clear warm water and a soft microfibre cloth. For heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Hot pots and pans can be set down directly — hard stones are heat-resistant.

Outdoors, Ceppo Verde is frost-proof and stable in the long term without further protective measures. Rinse off road salt, pollen or leaves with clear water in spring; a stone cleaner is enough once or twice a year.
