About Cleopatra Light

Cleopatra Light is the paler, more golden variant of the well-known Sinai stones. The surface shows warm yellow, gold, cream and beige tones and thus brings brightness and warmth into a space immediately. Unlike cool grey or white stones, an almost Mediterranean mood emerges here. The material is therefore particularly suitable for stairwells, entrances, floors and interiors intended to read as deliberately friendly and sunny.

The stone comes from Egypt and is petrographically a limestone, even though such materials are often carried in the trade as marble. The technical values are sound: bulk density is around 2,630 kg/m³, water absorption around 0.87 per cent, compressive strength approximately 146.86 MPa and flexural strength around 12.41 MPa. That shows Cleopatra Light is more than a purely decorative stone. At the same time it remains acid-sensitive and should not be treated like a hard rock.

Finishes

Cleopatra Light is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Satiniert

Cleopatra Light should be professionally sealed on sensitive surfaces. This reduces the ingress of moisture and dirt, but it is no substitute for protection against acids.

For cleaning and care, use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths or mops. Acidic bathroom and kitchen cleaners are unsuitable.

On pale, warm surfaces, regular gentle cleaning and care is worthwhile so that traffic marks, limescale or soap residues do not become unnecessarily visible. For external surfaces, good drainage is also important.

In heavily used kitchens the stone remains sensible only with realistic expectations of use. On floors, stairs and façades it is considerably more straightforward.
