About Creme Cristal Indonesia

Creme Cristal is a pale marble for projects that are looking for calm and brightness. The surface moves between white, cream and very light warm tones, usually without dramatic veining. This makes the stone appear friendly, clean and comparatively restrained. It does not push itself into the foreground but creates a quiet surface that brings other materials together well.

The stone is traded out of Indonesia. Typical of marble is a dense, readily polishable structure with a bulk density of around 2,700 kg/m³. What counts for planning is less a single laboratory value than the reality of the material type: Creme Cristal is a calcareous natural stone. It can be worked elegantly and takes a fine polish, but it remains acid-sensitive and should not be confused with the robustness of a quartzite.

Finishes

Creme Cristal Indonesia is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

On sensitive surfaces, Creme Cristal should be professionally sealed. That makes everyday use easier, but it is no substitute for protection against acid attack.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths are suitable. Acidic household cleaners, descalers and aggressive bathroom products are unsuitable.

On pale surfaces, dyes, limescale and soap residues should be removed promptly. Gentle, regular cleaning and care matters more with this marble than an occasional heavy deep clean.

For floors, walls and quiet interiors the care effort is usually easy to manage. In heavily used kitchens, the typical marble patina has to be consciously accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Is Creme Cristal suitable for a kitchen?

Only with reservations. As a marble, Creme Cristal is acid-sensitive and therefore better suited to deliberately planned applications.

How does Creme Cristal compare with Carrara?

Creme Cristal is usually calmer and warmer. Carrara generally appears greyer and more strongly marked.

How do I clean and care for Creme Cristal?

For cleaning and care, use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, soft cloths and a suitable sealer. Acidic cleaners are to be avoided.

Where does Creme Cristal come from?

Creme Cristal is traded as a marble from Indonesia.

Where is Creme Cristal used?

Typical applications are floors, stairs, walls, vanity tops and quiet interiors with a pale natural stone effect.

Creme Cristal or engineered quartz in cream white?

Creme Cristal looks more natural and more lively. Engineered quartz is more uniform and easier to care for.
