About Diamant G
Diamant G works through a warm ground shifting from honey brown to chocolate brown, through which fine darker veins and occasional light accents run. The slab is lively and expressive without tipping into the dramatic — a balanced mixture of material character and legibility for the designer. It is precisely this liveliness that makes the stone interesting for kitchen worktops, wall claddings, stairs and prestige interior surfaces in which a warm brown material image is called for.
Geologically, Diamant G comes from South African deposits and is assigned to the quartzite family in the natural stone trade. With a Mohs hardness of around 7 the material sits in the upper hard stone range — acid-resistant, with very low water absorption and reliable frost resistance. Compressive and flexural strength lie within the typical quartzite range.
Technically, Diamant G benefits from this mineralogy: wine, lemon, vinegar, coffee or descaler leave no etch marks on the polished surface. That makes the material especially valuable for kitchen applications in which acid loading is an everyday matter.

The application decides the choice of finish: polished emphasises the warm brown depth and the veining most strongly — the first choice for book-matched wall surfaces and prestige interiors. Leathered brings a velvety, more everyday-friendly feel — popular for kitchen worktops.
Compared with classic brown quartzites such as Tobacco Brown, Diamant G brings a similarly warm appearance, often with somewhat calmer veining. Against brown marbles such as Marron Emperador the material is massively more robust: acid-resistant, harder and less complicated in the kitchen.

Spaltrau
Die Oberfläche entspricht einer natürlichen Spaltung des Gesteins — matte, raue Anmutung mit hoher Rutschsicherheit und naturhafter Wirkung. Empfohlen für Außenbereiche, Mauerverkleidungen und stark beanspruchte Pflasterflächen. Die Plattenstärke kann durch die spaltraue Bearbeitung leicht variieren.
Care & fabrication
As a hard stone, Diamant G is fully acid-resistant — wine, lemon, vinegar, coffee or descaler leave no etch marks on the surface.
For kitchen worktops and vanity tops we recommend a one-off sealer on a silane or polysiloxane basis. It prevents the penetration of oily and greasy soiling, which can otherwise become visible on brown surfaces.
Daily care is carried out with clear warm water and a soft microfibre cloth. For heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Hot pots and pans can be set down directly — quartzites are heat-resistant.
Avoid strongly alkaline deep cleaners and abrasive pads — they attack the polish. Outdoors, Diamant G is frost-proof and stable over the long term without further protective measures.
