About Ivory Royal

Ivory Royal lives from a warm, calm brightness: the ground tone lies between cream white and ivory, with fine brown and grey mineral particles embedded in a grainy pattern in between, and here and there stronger accents flashing out. The slab remains lively but controlled — not a nervous speckle pattern, but a subtle depth that is very pleasant over large areas. It is precisely this mixture of brightness and warmth that makes Ivory Royal interesting for bright kitchens, reception areas, wall claddings and prestige interior surfaces.

Geologically, Ivory Royal is a granite from Indian deposits. Granites form deep in the earth's crust through the slow solidification of magma — the warm ivory colouring comes from the embedded feldspar crystals, the fine brown accents from iron minerals. With a Mohs hardness of around 6 the material belongs to the classic hard stone family, acid-resistant and with very low water absorption.

Poliert

Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung im Hartgesteinsegment — eine spiegelglatte, hochglänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und maximaler Tiefenwirkung der Mineralstruktur. Als säurebeständiges Silikatgestein ist polierter Granit pflegeleicht und für Küchenarbeitsplatten, Wandverkleidungen und repräsentative Sichtflächen erste Wahl.

Care & fabrication

As a granite, Ivory Royal is fully acid-resistant — wine, lemon, vinegar, coffee or descaler leave no etch marks. That is the decisive difference from pale marbles and limestones and makes the material easy to care for in the kitchen, bathroom and outdoors.

For kitchen worktops and vanity tops we recommend a one-off sealer on a silane or polysiloxane basis. It prevents the penetration of oily and greasy soiling and is particularly sensible with this pale stone, because dark stains stand out visually more strongly on ivory surfaces than on coloured slabs.

Daily care is carried out with clear warm water and a soft microfibre cloth. For heavier soiling, use a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner. Hot pots and pans can be set down directly — granites are heat-resistant. Avoid aggressive descalers and abrasive sponges.

Outdoors, Ivory Royal is frost-proof without further protective measures. Rinse de-icing salt, pollen or leaves off with clear water in spring; a stone cleaner is enough once or twice a year.
