London Grey Adamantium
London Grey Adamantium is a Brazilian quartzite with dramatic dark grey to anthracite swirled veining and silvery, creamy bands of movement. The hardness and acid resistance of the quartzite family make it the robust dark choice for kitchen worktops, islands and expressive statement walls — with full frost suitability for exterior applications.
Brazilian quartzite (crystalline recrystallised quartzite) from the metamorphic shield areas of Brazil — part of the Precambrian Brazilian craton. Mineralogically dominated by quartz with smaller proportions of feldspar and mica; secondary iron oxide mineralisations along former fissures produce warm, rusty accents. Mohs hardness approx. 7, high compressive strength, low water absorption, fully resistant to acid, heat and frost. Carried on the market under the brand name “London Grey Adamantium”.
