About Meridian

Meridian belongs to the group of light Brazilian quartzites and impresses with its calm, linear veining in silver and cream tones on a light ground. The slab appearance is clearly directional, looks monumental in large-area installations and carefully selected in detail applications – a natural stone that distinguishes itself through its restraint.

As a quartzite, Meridian is among the hardest and most resistant natural stones of all. Quartzites are acid-resistant, extremely abrasion-resistant and therefore suitable for practically every field of use: from kitchen worktops through bathroom floors to heavily used stair treads. The high density of the material makes it practically insensitive to stains and moisture.

Finishes

Meridian is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish for quartzite — a glossy surface with the highest possible colour intensity and a pronounced sense of depth. Depending on the mineral composition, the effect can be satin-gloss in places. As a silicate rock it is fully acid-resistant and scratch-hard — ideal for kitchen worktops and feature surfaces.

Care & fabrication

Quartzite is one of the easiest natural stones to care for. Meridian requires no regular impregnation, is acid-resistant and insensitive to most household chemicals. For daily cleaning, clear water and a mild cleaning agent are sufficient. Abrasives should nevertheless be avoided, so as not to dull polished surfaces.
