About Parioli
Parioli is a quartzite for projects with a clear signature. In colour the material moves between brown, red, bordeaux and dark violet. This makes it appear markedly warmer and richer than grey or green quartzites. On kitchen islands, tables or large-format wall pictures in particular, an expressive surface emerges that works not through loudness but through depth and tone. Compared with typical gold quartzites, Parioli is darker and more dramatic; compared with brown marbles, however, it is markedly more mineral and harder.
The stone comes from Brazil and is listed as a quartzite. It thus belongs to a rock class known for high hardness, good scratch resistance and insensitivity to acid. For planners this is important precisely with striking coloured stones: Parioli combines a decorative effect with markedly more everyday tolerance than a marble of the same colour. That makes it particularly attractive for kitchens, tables and high-quality internal applications with a strong material presence.
Reliable individual values are not available for Parioli in a complete series. Typical of quartzites, however, are bulk densities of around 2,594 to 2,833 kg/m³, compressive strengths of around 165 MPa at the median, flexural strengths of around 16.57 MPa and water absorption of around 0.23 % at the median. For planning this means: good suitability for worktops, floors, wall claddings and selected external applications, as long as the specific slab appearance suits the project.

Polished
Polishing is the most classic finish for quartzite — a glossy surface with the highest possible colour intensity and a pronounced sense of depth. Depending on the mineral composition, the effect can be satin-gloss in places. As a silicate rock it is fully acid-resistant and scratch-hard — ideal for kitchen worktops and feature surfaces.
Care & fabrication
Parioli should be sealed on worktops and furniture surfaces, so that water, grease and dyes adhere less readily. With dark and strongly coloured quartzites in particular this makes sense for a calm overall picture.
For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths are sufficient. Limescale, grease and fingerprints should be removed regularly on dark polished surfaces.
Avoid care products that build up a strong film, and abrasive pads. Even a hard quartzite can be cleaned and cared for better if the surface is not unnecessarily over-treated.
On kitchen and table surfaces, clean and care for it regularly and check the sealer at sensible intervals. That keeps the dark exoticism of the material clear in the long term.
