Characteristic is a warm pink to salmon ground effect with a medium-grained, largely non-directional (equigranular) mineral arrangement — the typical plutonic texture of a classic granite. Mineralogically, pink to salmon-tinted potassium feldspar and transparent quartz dominate as main constituents, supplemented by plagioclase and biotite as accent minerals. Care & fabrication
As an American granite, Salisbury Pink is easy to maintain and clean over the long term. With a water absorption of only 0.17 percent the material is among the dense hard rocks — stains accordingly form only rarely. An impregnation on a silane or polysiloxane basis after laying gives additional protection against strongly colouring substances such as red wine, coffee, oil and tomato sauce. Daily cleaning with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth or mop. Avoid strongly alkaline deep cleaners, acidic products such as vinegar or lemon cleaners, and abrasive steel wool. Outdoors frost-resistant and tolerant of de-icing salt (DNSA-confirmed) — rinse off de-icing salt residues in spring. Refresh the impregnation every three to five years.
