About Bianco Carrara

Bianco Carrara is the reference stone against which many other white marbles are measured. The material shows a white to pale grey base with fine grey veining or a calm cloud figure. It is precisely this mixture of brightness and slight movement that has made it so popular for decades. Bianco Carrara reads as cultivated, familiar and versatile. It suits classic and modern interiors alike and carries both small details and large surfaces convincingly.

The stone comes from Carrara in Tuscany and is one of the most famous marble deposits in the world. In the market, Bianco Carrara is traded in various selections and sub-types, from relatively calm to more strongly veined batches. In practice this means: it is not the name alone that decides, but the specific batch and the chosen image. Against Bianco Sivec, Bianco Carrara usually reads as softer and greyer; against Calacatta, less dramatic and less luxuriously staged.

Poliert

Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung für Marmor und Kalkstein — eine glänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und ausgeprägter Tiefenwirkung der Aderung. Je nach mineralischer Zusammensetzung kann die Wirkung stellenweise mattglänzend sein. Säureempfindlich — Wein, Zitrone und Essig hinterlassen Ätzspuren bei längerer Einwirkung.

Satiniert

Die Oberfläche wird gebürstet — weichere Minerale werden gezielt entfernt, es entsteht eine subtile Tiefe und mattes Erscheinungsbild. Besonders geaderte Kalksteine erhalten so eine charaktervolle Optik und Haptik. Die mattere Veredelung kaschiert kleine Ätzungen besser als poliert und ist alltagstauglicher für stark beanspruchte Innenflächen.

Geschliffen C220

Mattes Erscheinungsbild durch feinen Schliff mit Körnung C220 — die ebene Oberfläche wirkt ruhig mit etwas intensiverer Farbwirkung als C120, leichte Schleifspuren möglich. Pflegeintensiver als poliert, dafür kratzfester und matt-elegant — beliebte Wahl für moderne Bodenflächen und Wandverkleidungen.

Care & fabrication

Bianco Carrara should be sealed carefully after installation, particularly on vanity tops, floors and kitchen applications. Water absorption is low, but as a marble the material remains acid-sensitive.

For cleaning and care, use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners. Acidic cleaners, descalers, vinegar or aggressive bathroom chemicals are unsuitable for this stone.

Coffee, wine, lemon juice, cosmetics and soap residues should be removed promptly. Polished pale surfaces show dull patches or stain shadows more quickly than hard rock.

For external areas, restraint applies with polished surfaces. The stone can work outdoors in structural terms, but visually it usually remains the markedly more convincing choice indoors.
