About Bianco Carrara C

Bianco Carrara C is the epitome of Italian white marble, though not in its highly dramatic form but in the calmer classic expression. The image lives from a pale white-grey base tone, a gentle cloud figure and fine to medium grey veins that run across the surface without dominating it. It is precisely this balance that makes the stone so interesting for large wall fields, bathrooms, stairwells and floor surfaces: it reads as bright, refined and natural without being as loud as strongly veined Calacatta or Statuario variants. As a white marble, Bianco Carrara C is frequently sought because it is timeless and combines equally well with modern and classic interior architecture.

Finishes

Bianco Carrara C is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Bianco Carrara C should be sealed thoroughly after installation. Water absorption of 0.115 % is low for marble, but a good sealer nonetheless protects against oil, lime soap and coloured liquids in everyday use.

For cleaning and care, use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, soft cloths and as little residue build-up as possible. Pale marble surfaces reward regular, gentle maintenance cleaning more than infrequent aggressive deep cleaning.

Avoid vinegar, citrus cleaners, sanitary cleaners, abrasives and limescale-dissolving products. Lemon juice, red wine, coffee or cosmetics with an acid component should be removed promptly from worktops and vanity tops.

If you want to keep the stone looking good in the long term, refreshing the sealer at sensible intervals is worthwhile. Outdoors it should additionally be checked how strongly moisture, frost and surface weathering act on the specific construction.

Frequently asked questions

Is Bianco Carrara C suitable for the kitchen?

Yes, but with realistic expectations. Bianco Carrara C has a good density at 2,711 kg/m³ and low water absorption at 0.115 %, but as a marble it remains acid-sensitive. It works well for kitchen worktops above all where you accept patina and seal it properly.

Which finishes are available for Bianco Carrara C?

The finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Bianco Carrara C come from?

Bianco Carrara C comes from Italy, from the Carrara region in the Apuan Alps. This area has been one of the most important marble extraction areas in Europe for centuries.

How do I clean Bianco Carrara C correctly?

For cleaning and care you should use only pH-neutral natural stone cleaners. Work with soft cloths or a microfibre cloth, but without aggressive additives. Acidic cleaners are taboo on white Carrara marble, because they can create dull patches.

Is Bianco Carrara C frost-resistant?

The technical data give a compressive strength after frost of 127.5 MPa, while external use is only partly recommended. For sheltered external areas this can work; for permanently heavily weathered applications the construction should be planned very carefully.

Bianco Carrara C or quartzite – which is better?

That depends on the aim. Bianco Carrara C is the more authentic white marble with classic depth and patina. Pale quartzites are usually more robust and less acid-sensitive in everyday use, but they read differently and often less typically Italian.
