About Black Sao Brasil

Black Sao Brasil belongs to the group of black hard rocks that convince through density and reliability. The surface is deep black, largely directionless and medium-grained, without decorative gold or silver flecks. This makes the stone read as calm and technically clean across large surfaces. For facades, stairs, kitchens and heavily frequented floor areas in particular, this is a very usable combination of dark effect and matter-of-factness.

Finishes

Black Sao Brasil is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Care & fabrication

Black Sao Brasil should be sealed on worktops and in wet areas. That makes cleaning and care easier and keeps the black surface more even, even though at around 0.33 % water absorption the stone is already relatively dense.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, clear water and a microfibre cloth are sufficient. On polished surfaces, water residues and limescale films should not be allowed to dry on, because they become visible more quickly on black.

Avoid abrasive pads, acidic specialist cleaners without natural stone approval and unnecessarily aggressive degreasers. Oil, coffee or red wine should be removed promptly in the kitchen.

Outdoors, a slip-resistant finish, good drainage and professional laying are decisive. Black Sao Brasil then brings its frost resistance and durability cleanly into play.
