About CTX BasicKeramik® ABK Base Pepper
Base Pepper is the darker, denser answer to pale neutral surfaces. The surface moves between dark grey, almost black and a fine peppery grain that keeps the material lively without making it decorative. This makes the surface look powerful but controlled. In kitchens, bathrooms, hospitality or modern contract spaces in particular, that is interesting when a dark base is called for that does not look like high-gloss black.
As a ceramic porcelain surface, Base Pepper is not porous and markedly easier to care for than dark natural stone. Unlike black slate, basalt or dark limestone, the surface remains more even and reacts less sensitively to household chemicals. In everyday use that is a practical advantage, especially in areas with heavy use or frequent cleaning.
In use, Base Pepper works very well on floor and wall surfaces, splashbacks, in bathrooms, kitchens and in the contract sector. The dark tonal register carries pale timbers, metal and strong architectural details securely. Naturale matt
A standard finish in the matte ceramic segment — the original surface as it comes out of the kiln. Level in appearance, but somewhat rougher to the touch than polished. Easy to maintain, insensitive to scratches and stain-resistant — the most everyday-capable ceramic finish for kitchen worktops, wall cladding and floor areas.
Care & fabrication
Base Pepper needs no impregnation. As a ceramic surface the material is dense, insensitive to acid and designed for easy-care interior applications.
For cleaning and care, water, mild cleaners and a soft cloth or a clean mop are enough. On dark surfaces, limescale, soap residues and grease should be removed regularly so that no streaks remain.
Scouring agents and aggressive special chemicals are not necessary. Gentle, regular cleaning and care is the best solution.
For intensively used floors and working zones, the appropriate matt or grippy finish matters more than complicated care. That makes Base Pepper straightforward in everyday use.
