Optimum Surfaces Travertino Lumina is an Italian porcelain surface in a light travertine look with an ivory-toned mood. It is suited to kitchens, bathrooms, wall surfaces and high-quality internal and external concepts with a calm, warm stone effect.
Travertino Lumina is the light, softer interpretation of a travertine look. Ivory, beige and slightly grey clouding create a calm, light-friendly image that appears less rustic than classical travertine and leans more strongly towards elegant interior architecture. At ROSSITTIS we carry this decor for projects that are looking for a warm surface close to natural stone, but want to remain technically with ceramic.
The material is Italian porcelain stoneware in the large format 1840 x 3300 mm and is offered in 7, 12 and 20 mm thicknesses. The finishes currently available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down this page. Travertino Lumina can therefore be used very flexibly, from the kitchen worktop through to the large-area wall or façade solution.
In everyday use the material convinces with the strengths of modern ceramic: non-absorbent, frost-resistant, UV-stable and resistant to many acids and chemicals. With a light travertine look in particular this is a genuine advantage, because the surface remains markedly more straightforward than genuine travertine or a sensitive limestone.
At ROSSITTIS, Optimum Surfaces Travertino Lumina is available as a large-format slab, as a kitchen worktop, splashback, vanity top, wall cladding, table top and furniture surface. The decor is particularly strong in light kitchens, in calm spa and bathroom concepts and in interiors with a warm but restrained material palette.
Our frank assessment: Travertino Lumina is no substitute for the crafted porosity and depth of a genuine travertine. If, however, you are looking for a light travertine effect with markedly greater technical composure, this decor is very well suited.

Optimum Surfaces Travertino Lumina is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.
Soft Touch
A standard finish in the matte ceramic segment — after firing, the material is additionally brushed. It feels distinctly gentler than naturale matt, with a warm, softly tactile appearance. Easy to maintain and stain-resistant — a design-led choice for demanding visible surfaces and living concepts.
Care & fabrication
Travertino Lumina can be cleaned and cared for without complication. Sealing is not required. Clean the surface with mild cleaners or water and care for it without film-forming products. You should avoid hard impacts to the edges and unnecessarily aggressive abrasive aids on polished or soft-touch surfaces.
Frequently asked questions
Is Travertino Lumina suitable for kitchens?
Yes, very much so. As a porcelain surface the material is easy to care for, insensitive to staining and markedly more straightforward than genuine travertine.
Is Travertino Lumina a genuine travertine?
No. It is Italian porcelain stoneware in a light travertine look. The decor quotes natural stone; the material itself remains ceramic.
Can Travertino Lumina be used outdoors?
Yes, in principle. Frost resistance and UV stability speak in favour of it, provided the build-up, thickness and finish are chosen appropriately.
How do I care for Travertino Lumina?
The surface can be cleaned easily with mild cleaners or water. Sealing is not necessary.
Travertino Lumina or genuine light travertine?
Genuine travertine appears more natural and more crafted, but is more porous and more care-intensive. Travertino Lumina is more predictable and markedly more relaxed in everyday use.
Where does Travertino Lumina fit particularly well?
Above all in light kitchens, bathrooms, spa areas, splashbacks and calm interior fit-outs with a warm natural stone character.
What does Optimum Surfaces Travertino Lumina cost?
The price depends on the format, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
