About DIRESCO Quarz BU040 Nature Silver

Nature Silver is not a hard industrial grey but a warm silver tone with a calm, slightly stony presence. The surface looks restrained and modern at once. In kitchens, bathrooms and contract interiors in particular, that is interesting when a neutral grey is wanted that does not appear cold or technically empty. The tone combines well with timber, pale renders, stainless steel and dark metal surfaces.

Diresco produces this material in Belgium as an engineered quartz surface of the Nature line. The slabs are offered in the format 318 x 155 cm and in 12, 20 and 30 mm. The surface is sealed, almost non-porous and, according to Diresco, suitable for interior and exterior applications. The surface finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down. For planners that is helpful, because worktop, vanity unit and outdoor kitchen can be brought together in the language of the material.

Finishes

DIRESCO Quarz BU040 Nature Silver is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

A glossy surface with the highest possible degree of colour intensity — the standard finish in the engineered stone and engineered quartz segment. Easy to care for in everyday use and resistant to common household acids. A prestigious choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and exposed surfaces with a classic high-gloss character.

Velvet

The surface is brushed, much like a satin finish — softer minerals are removed and a subtle depth with a matte effect is created. The velvety soft feel is characteristic and design-led. Easy to maintain and suited to everyday use; an elegant choice for demanding kitchen and wall surfaces where a softly tactile appearance is wanted.

Care & fabrication

Nature Silver needs no classic natural stone impregnation, because as an engineered quartz the surface is almost non-porous. That makes maintenance in everyday use markedly easier.

For cleaning and care, water, a microfibre cloth and a mild cleaner are enough. On grey surfaces, limescale, grease and films of dirt should be removed regularly so that the tone stays clear and even.

Avoid abrasive sponges, aggressive solvents and strongly alkaline cleaners. For periodic deep cleaning, intensive cleaners suitable for quartz make more sense than abrasive household products.

On exterior surfaces the same principle applies: clean and care regularly, do not let deposits stand permanently and ensure clean water run-off in the construction detailing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Diresco Quartz BU040 Nature Silver suitable for the kitchen?

Yes. Nature Silver is very well suited to worktops and splashbacks, because the surface is almost non-porous and easy to care for in everyday use.

The surface finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Diresco Quartz BU040 Nature Silver come from?

Nature Silver is produced by Diresco in Belgium.

How do I clean Nature Silver correctly?

For cleaning and care, water, a microfibre cloth and a mild cleaner are enough. An additional impregnation is not necessary.

Is Nature Silver suitable for outdoors?

Yes, the Nature line is intended for interior and exterior applications. For outdoor kitchens and similar projects, the appropriate finish should be planned in.

Nature Silver or concrete-look porcelain?
