Türkischer Kalkstein (Karbonat-Sedimentgestein) aus den ausgedehnten anatolischen Karbonatsedimenten — mesozoischer bis tertiärzeitlicher Plattformkalkstein der Tethys-Schelfsedimentation. Emperador Cream Turco is a Turkish limestone from the extensive Anatolian carbonate sediments. For decades Turkey has been one of the world's most productive exporters of limestone and marble, with a comprehensive range from light cream-beige through warm honey-coloured to dark anthracite grades.
Geologically it is a Mesozoic to Tertiary platform limestone with a classic karst veining character. The warm creamy tonality arises from iron oxide and organic pigmentation during diagenesis; the light veins are secondary calcite healing zones along former fissures.
In the slab pattern, Emperador Cream Turco shows a warm creamy-brownish ground tone with a fine, organically natural grain and a characteristic fine white to cream vein network. The veining reads like a branched karst fissure pattern drawing elegantly across the warm brown ground — a classic Mediterranean natural stone image with a calm, elegant appearance.
The trade name "Emperador Cream Turco" places the material in the same family as the better-known Emperador marble (Spain) or Emperador Light, but petrographically it is classified as a Turkish limestone (NOT as a Spanish marble like the original Emperador). The tonality is lighter and creamier than that of the Spanish Emperador Light marble, but stylistically similarly elegant and warm.
For the application this means: Emperador Cream Turco is an excellent choice for wall claddings, vanity tops, stairs, floor and wall tiles as well as warm Mediterranean interior architecture. The warm creamy tonality harmonises outstandingly with warm timber, bronze, brass and sandy warm natural tones.
Technically, Emperador Cream Turco is acid-sensitive like all carbonate limestones (Mohs hardness approx. 3) and requires care-consciousness in the kitchen area. Mediterranean building tradition does show, however, that such limestones last for decades to centuries given proper installation and care.

For anyone comparing Emperador Cream Turco with other materials: stylistically close are Emperador Light (Spanish marble), Crema Marfil (Spanish limestone), Cappuccino marble and other warm creamy Turkish grades. Poliert
Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung für Marmor und Kalkstein — eine glänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und ausgeprägter Tiefenwirkung der Aderung. Je nach mineralischer Zusammensetzung kann die Wirkung stellenweise mattglänzend sein. Säureempfindlich — Wein, Zitrone und Essig hinterlassen Ätzspuren bei längerer Einwirkung.
Satiniert
Die Oberfläche wird gebürstet — weichere Minerale werden gezielt entfernt, es entsteht eine subtile Tiefe und mattes Erscheinungsbild. Besonders geaderte Kalksteine erhalten so eine charaktervolle Optik und Haptik. Die mattere Veredelung kaschiert kleine Ätzungen besser als poliert und ist alltagstauglicher für stark beanspruchte Innenflächen.
Care & fabrication
Emperador Cream Turco is a carbonate limestone and reacts sensitively to acids. Mohs hardness approx. 3.
Daily cleaning: soft microfibre cloth, clear water and a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner.
Do not use: acidic cleaners, descalers, abrasives.
Sealing: recommended immediately after installation and, depending on the level of use, every 12–18 months.
Kitchen worktop: only with care-consciousness. Wipe acidic splashes away immediately.
Vanity top and bathroom: wipe away limescale-bearing water splashes regularly. Never remove limescale rims at the tap with a descaler.
Repair: etch marks and scratches can be evened out by professional re-polishing.

Is Emperador Cream Turco the same stone as Emperador marble?
No. The original Emperador (marble) comes from Spain (province of Murcia). Emperador Cream Turco is a Turkish limestone that shows a similarly warm brownish tonality in appearance, but petrographically and geographically it is a different material. Both belong to the carbonate dimension stones with a similar care profile.
