About Padang TG39 Giallo

Padang TG39 Giallo is the supplier code for a classic Chinese yellow granite from the Padang TG programme. “Padang” is the historical collective term for Chinese granites, “TG39” the specific supplier article number, “Giallo” refers to the warm golden-yellow base colour (Italian for “yellow”). Characteristic is a warm golden-yellow to honey-coloured base colour of yellow-tinted potassium feldspar, interspersed with fine black biotite speckling, transparent to light grey quartz and isolated white plagioclase crystals. The slab appearance is medium-grained and evenly patterned throughout. Finishes

Padang TG39 Giallo is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Honed C120

A matt appearance created by coarse honing with C120 grit — the level surface shows a more restrained colour intensity than polished and can carry visible honing marks. Compared with a polish it is more maintenance-intensive but stylistically calmer; the preferred choice for modern interior architecture with reduced reflection.

Flamed + brushed once

The surface is roughened by heat and brushed once to smooth sharp-edged mineral residues and remove loose material. The feel is somewhat gentler than purely flamed, it remains slip-resistant, and the colour is less intense than polished. The standard choice for outdoor areas, terraces and heavily used floor areas.

Care & fabrication

As a Chinese granite, Padang TG39 Giallo can be maintained over the long term and cleaned without difficulty. For kitchen worktops and external paving we recommend an impregnation on a silane or polysiloxane basis. Daily cleaning with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth. Avoid strongly alkaline intensive cleaners, acidic products and abrasive pads. Outdoors it is frost-resistant and tolerant of road salt. Refresh the impregnation every three to five years.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Padang TG39 Giallo quarried?

The material comes from the south-east Chinese granite province of Fujian.

Which surface finishes are available for Padang TG39 Giallo?

The surface finishes available in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Is Padang TG39 Giallo suitable for kitchen worktops?

Very much so. As a Chinese granite, Padang TG39 Giallo is acid-resistant, stain-resistant (with a good impregnation) and very robust in everyday cooking.

Is Padang TG39 Giallo frost-resistant?

Yes. Chinese Fujian granites are frost-resistant to DIN EN 12371 and fully suitable for Central European climate zones.

Padang TG39 Giallo or Madura Gold — which fits better?

Both are golden-yellow granites/gneisses. Madura Gold from India typically shows a more intense golden movement signature with pronounced banding. Padang TG39 Giallo from China is calmer and more even in appearance — more flexible to use in planning terms.

How do I clean and care for Padang TG39 Giallo?

Daily care with a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth. Impregnation on a silane basis recommended. Refresh every three to five years.

What does Padang TG39 Giallo cost?

The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
