The stone comes from Brazil and is listed in the market as a white granite. Technically the material moves within a solid granite range. The bulk density lies approximately between 2,600 and 2,700 kg/m³, the water absorption at around 0.2 %, the compressive strength roughly between 180 and 220 MPa and the flexural strength in the range of 15 to 20 MPa. Added to this are frost suitability and good acid resistance in everyday use. That makes Pitaya White readily usable for kitchens, stairs, floors and many external applications.

Pitaya White can be cleaned and cared for readily. For kitchens and finely worked internal surfaces we recommend a sealer, even though the water absorption is low. Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaners and soft cloths. You should avoid above all hard impacts at edges as well as strongly oiling or film-forming care products.
