About Pitaya White

Pitaya White combines a light, white to ivory-coloured basic mood with dark, clearly visible mineral inclusions. It is precisely this contrast that makes the stone interesting: it is lighter than many classic granites, yet does not appear flat or sterile. On larger surfaces a lively but controllable picture emerges that fits well into modern as well as classic interiors. At ROSSITTIS we stock Pitaya White for projects looking for a light hard stone with a distinct figure.

The stone comes from Brazil and is listed in the market as a white granite. Materials of this kind are popular above all in kitchen and interior fit-out, because they combine brightness with robust hard rock quality. Pitaya White stands here less for complete homogeneity than for a deliberate play of a light ground and dark mineral content.

Finishes

Pitaya White is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Care & fabrication

Pitaya White can be cleaned and cared for readily. For kitchens and finely worked internal surfaces we recommend a sealer, even though the water absorption is low. Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaners and soft cloths. You should avoid above all hard impacts at edges as well as strongly oiling or film-forming care products.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pitaya White suitable for kitchen worktops?

Yes, very much so. As a granite the material is robust, care-friendly and well suited to kitchen worktops.

Where does Pitaya White come from?

The stone comes from Brazil. It is listed in international trade as a white granite with dark inclusions.

How do I care for Pitaya White?

Clean the surface with pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and refresh a sealer according to use. You should avoid strong mechanical loading at edges.

Pitaya White or Kashmir White?

Pitaya White appears higher in contrast and often somewhat more graphic. Kashmir White is mostly calmer and finer in its picture. The choice depends on how much movement you want in the surface.

Is Pitaya White also suitable for external areas?

Yes, in principle it is. With a suitable finish the stone can also be sensibly used on stairs, landings and other external surfaces.

Is Pitaya White a calm white granite?

Rather not. The material lives from the contrast between a light ground and dark mineral content. That is precisely what makes up its character.

What does Pitaya White cost?

The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
