As a Brazilian granite, Ice Blue is decidedly easy to maintain. Indoors, warm water with a pH-neutral stone cleaning product is enough for daily cleaning; aggressive household cleaners, citric-acid descalers and abrasive sponges are unnecessary and should be avoided. On polished kitchen worktops, a sealer using a solvent-based product suitable for hard rocks is advisable after installation and every 2 to 3 years thereafter, in order to reduce the uptake of oil, grease and intensely coloured foods over the long term. With the pale silver-grey base tone, strongly colouring substances such as red wine, turmeric or dark berries can leave small local discolourations if left in contact for longer — a proper sealer reduces this risk considerably. Soiling should be taken up promptly, ideally within a few hours.
