Turkish granite (a felsic plutonic rock) from the Anatolian plutonic complexes. Mineralogically dominated by light plagioclase feldspar, potassium feldspar, quartz and smaller mafic components (biotite, amphibole). Mohs hardness approx. 6, high compressive strength, low water absorption, fully acid-, heat- and frost-resistant. Its character comes from an even, fine-grained “salt and pepper” speckling in a silvery, warm mid-grey tonality.
Silver Coffee is a Turkish granite from the Anatolian plutonic complexes. While Turkey is known above all for its extensive marble and limestone deposits, there are also productive granite provinces, particularly in eastern Anatolia and in the volcanic-igneous complexes along the Pontic Mountains.
Geologically it is a classic acidic plutonite (a granite in the strict sense) — mineralogically dominated by pale plagioclase feldspar, potassium feldspar, quartz and smaller mafic components (biotite, amphibole). The fine grain size and even mineral distribution produce the characteristic calm, elegant slab picture with no dramatic vein pattern.
In the slab picture, Silver Coffee shows an evenly mid-grey ground tone with a fine “salt-and-pepper” speckling of dark mafic mineral dots and somewhat paler feldspar portions. The tonality shifts between a warm silver grey and a cool asphalt grey — hence the brand name “Silver Coffee”, which describes the combination of silvery brightness and a warm coffee-brown undertone. Here and there warm rust-brown accents are recognisable, giving the surface a subtle depth of effect.
For use this means: Silver Coffee is a distinctly versatile choice for kitchen worktops, islands, vanity tops, wall claddings, floor and wall tiles, stairs, window sills, façade elements and all heavily used applications. The calm tonality works in modern as well as classically Mediterranean architectural concepts and harmonises with warm timber, brass, Corten steel and reduced colour palettes.
Technically, Silver Coffee is a classic high-performance granite with a Mohs hardness of around 6, full acid resistance, heat resistance, frost resistance and low water absorption. Steel knives leave no scratches, wine and lemon no etch marks, and hot pans can be set down directly. A one-off impregnation at installation is recommendable in order to prevent oil and food stains.

Polished
Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.
Satin-honed
The satin surface is created by brushing, which selectively removes softer minerals and gives the surface a slight depth. A matte appearance with subtle light reflection and a warm feel to the touch. Easy to maintain, insensitive to scratches and suited to everyday use — a popular alternative to a polish in modern kitchens and living spaces.
Care & fabrication
Silver Coffee is a dense high-performance granite with high compressive strength, low water absorption and very good acid, heat and frost resistance.
Daily cleaning: a soft microfibre cloth, warm water and a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner.
Do not use: concentrated acids, steel wool.
Impregnation: on polished surfaces, recommendable every 18–36 months depending on loading.
Kitchen worktop: hot pans can be set down directly. Steel knives leave no scratches.
Outdoors: frost-proof when properly laid with drainage.
Repair: scratches in the polish can be evened out by proper re-polishing.
