About Verde Ubatuba Verde Bahia

Verde Ubatuba is one of the best-known dark granites on the market. The base colour lies between black-green, deep green and anthracite, joined by a dense, speckled grain with individual lighter or golden reflections. It is precisely this compact, almost closed appearance that makes the stone so popular for kitchens, window sills and dark floor areas. Compared with a deep black granite, Verde Ubatuba appears somewhat livelier, but compared with strongly reflective labradorite stones it is distinctly calmer and more controlled.

Finishes

Verde Ubatuba Verde Bahia is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Care & fabrication

Verde Ubatuba should be sealed on worktops, floors and window sills, even though the stone is very dense. A good silane-based sealer reduces grease and water staining and makes ongoing maintenance easier.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths or microfibre mops are sufficient. On dark polished surfaces, limescale, oil and fingerprints should be removed regularly so that the surface stays calm.

Avoid aggressive descalers, strongly film-forming care products and abrasive pads. Even a hard granite is easier to clean and maintain if the surface is not burdened with chemicals unnecessarily.

Outdoors, clean and maintain regularly, remove organic deposits early and refresh the sealer at sensible intervals. That keeps the dark green effect clear in the long term.
