Caesar Brown is a warm brown Tunisian natural stone with a quiet, almost directionless structure and matt elegance. At ROSSITTIS it is carried as a brown marble for interior and exterior use, for floors, stairs and selected worktops.

About Caesar Brown

Caesar Brown is a stone for projects looking for warmth and calm. The colour lies between mid-brown and dark brown, without strong vein graphics or wild movement. This makes the surface appear very closed and quiet. Unlike decorative brown marbles or coarsely crystalline granites, Caesar Brown lives on its even, almost textile effect. On floors, stairs and quiet wall surfaces in particular this is very convincing.

The stone comes from Tunisia, from the Kesra area. Petrographically, Caesar Brown is a limestone, but in the trade it is sensibly read as a marble, because it is precisely in this segment that it is sought out and specified. Its visual particularity is important: high gloss is not its strength, but a matt finish. That sets it clearly apart from many polishable brown marbles. Compared with Marron Emperador, Caesar Brown appears more homogeneous and markedly less decorative; compared with brown granite, softer and finer in mineral terms.

Satiniert

Die Oberfläche wird gebürstet — weichere Minerale werden gezielt entfernt, es entsteht eine subtile Tiefe und mattes Erscheinungsbild. Besonders geaderte Kalksteine erhalten so eine charaktervolle Optik und Haptik. Die mattere Veredelung kaschiert kleine Ätzungen besser als poliert und ist alltagstauglicher für stark beanspruchte Innenflächen.

Care & fabrication

As a brown marble type, or carbonate natural stone, Caesar Brown should be sealed carefully. This makes cleaning and maintenance easier and protects the matt surface against oil, water and dyes.

For cleaning and maintenance you should use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths. Acidic cleaners, descalers, vinegar or citric acid are unsuitable, even though the stone is mechanically very strong.

On kitchen and bathroom surfaces, wine, coffee, cosmetics and citrus should not be left to act for long. With Caesar Brown, the chemical sensitivity matters more than the mechanical robustness.

On external surfaces, suitable finishes, proper installation and good drainage ensure results that are stable over the long term. The stone then remains very convincing.
