About DIRESCO Quarz AU700 Beach Taupe

Beach Taupe sits precisely between cool grey and warm beige. This intermediate tone makes the material interesting for many designs, because it neither tips towards the yellowish nor appears too technical. The taupe-coloured underlying mood goes well with timber, off-white, bronze, dark metal and calm natural tones. In kitchens and bathrooms in particular, where a neutral, homely stone character is sought, this colour performs with great assurance.

Within the Belgian Diresco Beach line, Beach Taupe is positioned as an engineered quartz for hard-wearing interior surfaces and coordinated external applications. Typical of this series are large-format slabs, low-maintenance and almost non-porous surfaces as well as the three finish logics Poli, Velvet and Anticato. The material thus combines the predictable uniformity of an industrially manufactured product with a somewhat softer, homelier effect than many cool grey quartz colours.

Finishes

DIRESCO Quarz AU700 Beach Taupe is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Velvet

The surface is brushed, much like a satin finish — softer minerals are removed and a subtle depth with a matte effect is created. The velvety soft feel is characteristic and design-led. Easy to maintain and suited to everyday use; an elegant choice for demanding kitchen and wall surfaces where a softly tactile appearance is wanted.

Care & fabrication

Beach Taupe needs no classical natural stone sealing, because the Diresco surface is almost non-porous. Care in everyday use therefore remains markedly simpler than with many open lime-based or marble materials.

For cleaning and care, water, a microfibre cloth and a mild cleaner are sufficient. Typical kitchen residues such as grease, coffee or dyestuffs should nevertheless be removed regularly, so that the warm neutral surface stays clean and even.

Avoid abrasive pads, aggressive solvents and strongly alkaline products. On engineered quartz too, gentle cleaning and care remains the better strategy in the long term.

For external applications the rule is: choice of finish, drainage and constructional protection matter more than any additional chemical treatment. Textured surfaces should be maintained regularly there, so that no deposits take hold.

Frequently asked questions

Is Diresco Quarz AU700 Beach Taupe suitable for the kitchen?

Yes. Beach Taupe is very well suited to worktops and splashbacks, because the surface is easy to care for, almost non-porous and very easy to combine in colour terms.

What finishes are available in Beach Taupe?

The finishes currently available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Diresco Quarz AU700 Beach Taupe come from?

Beach Taupe comes from Belgian Diresco production.

How do I care for Beach Taupe correctly?

For cleaning and care, water, a microfibre cloth and a mild cleaner are sufficient. Sealing is not required with this engineered quartz.

Can Beach Taupe be used outdoors?

The Beach line is in principle also intended for coordinated external applications. For outdoor kitchens and similar projects, the build-up and the finish should be planned appropriately.

Beach Taupe or a concrete look in grey?

Beach Taupe appears warmer and homelier than a classical grey concrete look. Where a neutral colour with less coolness is sought, taupe is often the more agreeable choice in the long term.

What does DIRESCO Quarz AU700 Beach Taupe cost?

The price depends on the format, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
