About Giallo Ouro Brasil

Giallo Ouro Brasil belongs to the yellow granites that do not appear pastel or soft, but warm, mineral and clearly figured. The play of colour moves between golden yellow, honey, beige and individual darker mineral inclusions. This produces a friendly but not dull surface that works well in classic kitchens as well as in generous entrance areas and on stairs. Compared with calmer yellow granites such as Giallo Veneziano, Giallo Ouro Brasil appears somewhat livelier and more rustic, without becoming restless.

Finishes

Giallo Ouro Brasil is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Giallo Ouro Brasil should be sealed after installation on worktops, floors and window sills, even though granite is fundamentally hard-wearing. A good silane-based sealer reduces the penetration of grease, oil and strongly coloured liquids.

For cleaning and care, water, a pH-neutral natural stone cleaner and a soft microfibre cloth are sufficient. In the kitchen in particular, wine, coffee, oil and strongly staining foods should nevertheless be removed promptly so that no residues dry on the surface.

Avoid strongly acidic deep cleaners, wax-based care layers and abrasive scouring agents. Even hard granite is easier to clean and care for over time if the surface is not burdened with unnecessarily aggressive chemicals.

Outdoors the rule is: clean and care for the surface regularly, remove accumulations of leaves and dirt, and renew the sealer at sensible intervals depending on use. On flamed surfaces, dirt should be loosened early so that the structure does not clog up.

Frequently asked questions

Is Giallo Ouro Brasil suitable for the kitchen?

Yes. As a granite with a bulk density of 2,643 kg/m³, compressive strength of 115.62 MPa and flexural strength of 10.4 MPa, Giallo Ouro Brasil is very well suited to kitchen worktops, islands and counters.

Which surfaces are available for Giallo Ouro Brasil?

The surface finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Giallo Ouro Brasil come from?

The stone comes from Brazil and belongs to the group of Brazilian yellow granites, which are in strong demand above all for kitchens, window sills, stairs and façades.

How do I clean Giallo Ouro Brasil correctly?

pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths are sufficient for cleaning and care. Grease, coffee, wine or oil should not be left standing on the surface for long in the kitchen.

Is Giallo Ouro Brasil frost-resistant?

As a dense hard stone, Giallo Ouro Brasil is well suited to many external applications. The decisive factors are a suitable surface, proper build-up and clean drainage.

Giallo Ouro Brasil or Giallo Veneziano?

Giallo Ouro Brasil usually appears somewhat livelier and more stone-like, while Giallo Veneziano is often read as more even and more classic. Technically both lie in the robust granite segment.
