About Golden Radix

Golden Radix is a light marble with a warm signature. The base colour moves between white, cream and pale gold, joined by softer movements and individual warmer vein patterns. This makes the stone appear more refined and more homely than a purely cold white material such as Thassos, while at the same time calmer than many heavily veined gold marbles. For high-quality bathrooms, wall claddings, floor areas and selected kitchen zones this is a material that cleanly combines clarity and warmth.

The stone comes from Greece and is placed within the Thassos family. It therefore stands in an environment long known for light, dense marbles of high visual purity. Unlike strictly white variants, however, Golden Radix brings a golden tint that makes it more flexible in interior architecture. In combination with brushed metals, warm timbers or sand-coloured surfaces in particular, it develops a considerably more homely effect than purely snow-white marbles.

Finishes

Golden Radix is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Golden Radix should be carefully sealed before use, particularly on floors, washstands and worktops. The dense structure helps, but with marble it is no substitute for a clean protective treatment.

For cleaning and care, only pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, clear water and soft cloths are suitable. Soap, cosmetics, coffee, wine or lemon juice should not be allowed to dry on the surface, because marble reacts to acids.

Avoid vinegar cleaners, limescale-dissolving household products, chlorine-based products and abrasive sponges. A marble like Golden Radix can be cleaned and cared for well over the long term if it is treated gently and re-sealed regularly.

In wet areas, clean and care for the surface regularly, squeegee off water residues and avoid residues of care products. Depending on use, the sealer should be checked and renewed at fixed intervals.

Frequently asked questions

Is Golden Radix suitable for the kitchen?

Golden Radix can be used in carefully used kitchens, but as a marble it is more acid-sensitive than granite or quartzite. For intensive cooking areas it is more a design choice than a robust one.

Which surfaces are available for Golden Radix?

The surface finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Golden Radix come from?

The stone comes from Greece and is placed within the Thassos family. It combines the density of Greek marbles with a warmer, golden colouring.

How do I clean Golden Radix correctly?

For cleaning and care, use only pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths. Acidic cleaners and strongly limescale-dissolving products are unsuitable for this marble.

Is Golden Radix suitable for outdoors?

For permanently exposed external surfaces, Golden Radix in a polished finish is not an ideal choice. Its strengths lie clearly in high-quality interior fit-out.

Golden Radix or Thassos?

Thassos appears colder, whiter and more severe. Golden Radix brings more warmth and golden tones into the surface and thereby appears more homely.
