About Golden Spider

Golden Spider lives from contrast and precision. The base colour is light, between cream white and warm ivory, over which golden to brown veins run, branching finely and giving the material its typical net structure. On larger wall surfaces in particular, or as a washstand and floor in the bathroom, this creates a very distinctive character: decorative, but not heavy. Compared with Calacatta or Statuario marbles, Golden Spider appears warmer and more ornamental, without tipping over into baroque excess.

Finishes

Golden Spider is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish for marble and limestone — a glossy surface with the highest possible colour intensity and a pronounced depth to the veining. Depending on the mineral composition, the effect can be matte-gloss in places. Acid-sensitive — wine, lemon and vinegar leave etch marks after prolonged contact.

Care & fabrication

Golden Spider should be carefully sealed before use, particularly on floors, washstands and in bathrooms. This reduces the uptake of moisture, care products and coloured liquids.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, clear water and soft cloths or mops are the right choice. On bathroom surfaces, soap residues, cosmetics and limescale should not be allowed to dry on; on kitchen or counter surfaces, no acidic foods.

Avoid vinegar cleaners, descalers, chlorine-based household products and abrasive sponges. Marble can only be cleaned and cared for well over the long term if the surface is treated gently and the sealer is checked regularly.

On floor areas, clean and care for the surface regularly, remove fine dirt early and re-treat traffic zones as required. In wet areas, consistent drying after use helps keep the surface calm for longer.

Frequently asked questions

Is Golden Spider suitable for the kitchen?

Golden Spider can be used in carefully used kitchens, but as a marble it is acid-sensitive. For pure working areas with heavy use, granite or quartzite are usually easier to care for.

Which surfaces are available for Golden Spider?

The surface finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Golden Spider come from?

The stone comes from Greece. Greek marbles of this kind are used above all for high-quality interior fit-out and decorative wall and floor solutions.

How do I clean Golden Spider correctly?

For cleaning and care, use only pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths. Acidic products are unsuitable for this marble.

Is Golden Spider frost-resistant?

For classic, polished external surfaces, Golden Spider is not the first choice. Its strengths lie clearly indoors, above all on walls, in bathrooms and on decorative floors.

Golden Spider or Calacatta?

Golden Spider appears warmer, more decorative and more finely branched. Calacatta usually works with larger, clearer veins and an altogether calmer ground surface.

What does Golden Spider cost?

The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
