Impala India Nero Profondo

Impala India Nero Profondo is a deep black to anthracite hard stone from India that is listed in the trade as a black granite. At ROSSITTIS we carry it for terrace slabs, floor areas and dark architecture where a calm black stone with high load-bearing capacity is sought.

About Impala India Nero Profondo

Impala India Nero Profondo belongs to the black materials that convince not through strong veining but through a closed, calm effect. The colour lies between deep black and dark anthracite, and the grain stays fine and restrained. That allows the stone to work both in modern architecture and in robust external applications. Compared with Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe it usually appears somewhat grainier and less absolute; compared with decorative blacks such as Star Galaxy, considerably calmer and more technical.

Finishes

Impala India Nero Profondo is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Flamed + brushed once

The surface is roughened by heat and brushed once to smooth sharp-edged mineral residues and remove loose material. The feel is somewhat gentler than purely flamed, it remains slip-resistant, and the colour is less intense than polished. The standard choice for outdoor areas, terraces and heavily used floor areas.

Care & fabrication

Despite its high density, Impala India Nero Profondo should be sealed after installation on floor areas and terraces. That makes handling moisture, dirt and everyday loads considerably easier.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and — depending on the surface — a cloth, mop or soft brush are enough. On dark surfaces in particular, limescale residues, dust and dirt should be removed regularly so that the surface stays calm.

Avoid aggressive descalers, care products that build up a heavy film, and abrasive pads. Even a very robust black granite can be cleaned and cared for better in the long term if the surface is treated gently.

The surface finishes available in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down. The sealer should be refreshed at sensible intervals depending on use.

Frequently asked questions

Is Impala India Nero Profondo suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. With 2,970 kg/m³ bulk density, 263 MPa compressive strength and confirmed frost resistance, Impala India Nero Profondo is very well suited to terraces, steps and other external applications.

Which surfaces are available for Impala India Nero Profondo?

The surface finishes available in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Impala India Nero Profondo come from?

The stone comes from India, from Tamil Nadu. On the market it is also known under designations such as Nero Profondo or Bengal Black.

How do I clean Impala India Nero Profondo correctly?

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths or brushes are sufficient. Dark surfaces should be freed of limescale, dust and dirt regularly.

How does Impala India Nero Profondo fabricate?

Very well. At 263 MPa compressive strength the material is very hard, but it can be sawn, polished, flamed and brushed cleanly. For terrace slabs and external steps, flamed or brushed surfaces are standard, because they provide sure footing without losing the black effect.

Impala India Nero Profondo or Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe?

Nero Assoluto Zimbabwe appears more homogeneous and more absolutely black. Impala India Nero Profondo is somewhat grainier, but often a very strong and capable choice for floor and external applications.

What does Impala India Nero Profondo cost?

The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
