About India Brown

India Brown belongs to the group of classic Indian granites and is widely used on the international natural stone market. In colour it shows a warm, reddish-brown base image with dark mica inclusions and lighter quartz crystals, which give the slab image a fine, even dotted structure.

Petrographically, India Brown is a migmatite – a metamorphic rock formed on the boundary between granite and gneiss. On the market it is treated like other Indian granites: high hardness, good compressive strength, acid resistance and very good workability. These properties make it one of the most versatile natural stones for interior and exterior applications.

Satin-honed

The satin surface is created by brushing, which selectively removes softer minerals and gives the surface a slight depth. A matte appearance with subtle light reflection and a warm feel to the touch.
