Juparana India Dark is a dark Indian migmatite of the granite family with brown-grey-black movement and a powerful overall effect. ROSSITTIS carries it as a raw slab where a resilient dark natural stone with more figuring than a standard black granite is called for.

About Juparana India Dark
Juparana India Dark belongs to the dark stones of movement, which work not through absolute blackness but through depth and structure. The surface works with dark brown, grey, black and in places lighter, flowing lines. This produces a massive, warm stone image that works strongly in kitchens, wall surfaces or heavy furniture applications. Compared with pure black granites, Juparana India Dark is livelier; compared with light Juparana grades, markedly more compact and powerful.
The stone comes from India and is listed in the market as granite — petrographically it is a migmatite, a metamorphic mixed rock with magmatic and metamorphic components. Typical of Indian Juparana variants is the mixture of robust hard-stone engineering and clearly legible movement. On large kitchen islands, tables or wall cladding in particular, the material can produce a dark but not monotonous surface. Anyone looking for an alternative to plain black gets more natural stone character here and at the same time a very resilient substance.
Technically, Juparana India Dark is solidly to strongly positioned. The bulk density is 2,740 kg/m³, the compressive strength, depending on the data set, roughly between 94.99 and 153 MPa, the flexural strength between 9.6 and 17.15 MPa. This makes the material suitable for worktops, floors, wall cladding and selected external applications. It is precisely the combination of dark colouring and robust granite structure that makes it very interesting for heavily used interiors.
Polished, Juparana India Dark shows maximum depth and colour contrast. The surface finishes currently in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down. At ROSSITTIS, Juparana India Dark is currently held above all as a raw slab and is therefore suited to made-to-measure kitchen tops, tables, vanity units and other dark interior fit-out projects.
The honest assessment: Juparana India Dark is not a stone for very calm, minimalist designs. The movement is part of the concept. But anyone looking for precisely a dark, lively granite surface gets a very strong solution here.

Finishes
Juparana India Dark is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.
Poliert
Juparana India Dark should be sealed on worktops and dark interior surfaces, so that water, grease and limescale adhere less readily. On polished dark surfaces in particular this makes care considerably easier.
For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths are sufficient. On kitchen surfaces, limescale, oil and fingerprints should be removed regularly so that the surface stays calm.
Avoid aggressive descalers, strongly film-forming care products and abrasive pads. A dark granite is easier to clean and care for when the surface is not needlessly over-treated.
The surface finishes currently in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down. In this way the structure stays clean and the dark effect of the stone is preserved.
Frequently asked questions
Is Juparana India Dark suitable for the kitchen?
Yes. With a bulk density of 2,740 kg/m³ and a compressive strength of about 95 to 153 MPa, Juparana India Dark is well suited to kitchen worktops and islands.
Which finishes are available for Juparana India Dark?
The surface finishes currently in stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.
Where does Juparana India Dark come from?
The stone comes from India. Dark Juparana variants are known there for their combination of movement and robust granite structure.
How do I clean Juparana India Dark correctly?
For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and soft cloths are enough. On dark surfaces, limescale, grease and fingerprints should be removed regularly.
Can Juparana India Dark be used outdoors?
Yes, in principle. As a granite the material is also suitable for selected external applications, particularly with a flamed or brushed finish.
Juparana India Dark or black granite?
Black granite appears more homogeneous and calmer. Juparana India Dark shows more movement and warmth, but technically it is likewise very resilient.
