About Artic Green
Arctic Green is a green Brazilian hard rock with distinct, animated figuring. The surface lives on a deep, cool green in various shadings, combined with darker blackish-green passages and lighter mineral waves. This produces a highly distinctive, almost landscape-like image — markedly more expressive than quiet standard green varieties. For worktops, stairs, floors and façades with a chromatic signature, it is one of the most striking green natural stone options.
The stone comes from Brazil and is assigned in the natural stone trade to the granite family — petrographically a granodiorite from the Brazilian hard rock spectrum. The identically named Norwegian syenite, which also appears internationally under the trade name Arctic Green, is a different material. In the trade, green Brazilian hard rocks with clearly animated figuring traditionally run in the granite group (and other hard rocks).
Technically, Arctic Green is robustly positioned as a hard rock. Brazilian green hard rocks typically lie at around 2,700–2,900 kg/m³ bulk density, with water absorption well below 0.5 % and compressive strength in the 150–250 MPa range. Acid resistance and frost resistance are as a rule very good for this rock family. In practice this means: citrus, vinegar and wine do the surface no harm, and external applications are also possible without complications. For kitchen worktops, wall cladding, façades and stairs the profile is very fit for everyday use.

Poliert

Care & fabrication
As a Brazilian hard rock, Arctic Green is easy to look after. Sealing is not essential, but it does make sense on kitchen worktops and in heavily used areas — it makes cleaning and maintenance easier and reduces visible water and grease rings.
For cleaning and maintenance, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and a soft cloth are enough. Because the stone is acid-resistant, citrus, wine or vinegar do the surface no harm — a clear advantage over green marbles.
On polished surfaces, water marks and fingerprints are more visible than on matt or textured finishes. Regular dry wiping keeps the look even. Outdoors, a slip-resistant textured finish and clean installation matter more than maintenance chemistry. As a hard rock, Arctic Green remains durable under load there.
