About Blue King

Blue King is a material for projects looking for a powerful, clear blue but not wanting the cloudy softness of some quartzites. The surface shows a deep cobalt blue to grey-blue, shot through with a dark matrix and lighter areas. That makes the stone both strong in colour and compact. On large-format slabs in particular this creates a very high-quality, almost mineral-luminous effect, outstandingly suited to kitchen islands, counters, wall panels and exclusive stair claddings.

Blue King is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Poliert

Politur ist die klassischste Veredelung im Hartgesteinsegment — eine spiegelglatte, hochglänzende Oberfläche mit höchstmöglicher Farbintensität und maximaler Tiefenwirkung der Mineralstruktur. Als säurebeständiges Silikatgestein ist polierter Granit pflegeleicht und für Küchenarbeitsplatten, Wandverkleidungen und repräsentative Sichtflächen erste Wahl.

Care & fabrication

Blue King should be sealed after fabrication, above all on kitchen and wet surfaces. That makes cleaning and care easier and reduces residues of grease, limescale and dyes.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and soft cloths are suitable. Acidic cleaners are unsuitable despite the hard stone character, because Blue King reacts more sensitively chemically than a classic granite.

On polished interior surfaces, lemon juice, wine and aggressive kitchen chemicals should not be left to act for long. Outdoors the rule is: matt surfaces make more sense than a polish.

With a suitable choice of surface, careful routine cleaning and professional planning, Blue King remains very effective in the long term.

Yes, above all for high-quality interior kitchens. With around 2,560 kg/m³ bulk density and approximately 184 MPa compressive strength, Blue King is hard-wearing, but it reacts more sensitively to acids than a classic granite.
