About Kashmir Gold Chiaro

Kashmir Gold Chiaro is the brighter, softer interpretation of the familiar Kashmir Gold image. The material shows golden to warm cream-beige tones, together with fine mineral inclusions and a subtle, slightly directional structure. This makes the stone appear bright, friendly and of high quality, without going into the strict calm of an even pale granite. On kitchen worktops, stairs, floor surfaces and wall cladding in particular, this combination of warmth and restraint works very well.

The stone comes from India, from the area of Madurai or Melur in Tamil Nadu. In the trade Kashmir Gold Chiaro is clearly listed as granite and used in exactly that way. Against Crema Marfil it is markedly more robust and better suited to everyday use, against Bianco Sardo warmer and more golden, against exotic quartzites usually more controlled and more classical. Anyone looking for a bright, golden-beige granite gets a very well-established representative here.

Kashmir Gold Chiaro is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Satin-honed

The satin surface is created by brushing, which selectively removes softer minerals and gives the surface a slight depth. A matte appearance with subtle light reflection and a warm feel to the touch. Easy to maintain, insensitive to scratches and suited to everyday use — a popular alternative to a polish in modern kitchens and living spaces.

Care & fabrication

Kashmir Gold Chiaro should be carefully sealed after installation. With 0.45 % water absorption the stone benefits visibly from it, because cleaning and care on bright warm surfaces become considerably easier.

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners, water and a soft cloth are sufficient. On bright surfaces, oil, coffee and water residues should not be allowed to dry on.

Avoid strongly abrasive cleaning products and needlessly aggressive specialist chemicals. The stone is acid-resistant, but visually bright surfaces still react more sensitively to neglect than dark granites.

Outdoors, regular maintenance cleaning, good drainage and the right finish are particularly important. The problem is not the resilience, but the wish for a permanently clean bright appearance.
