Ivory Fantasy

Ivory Fantasy is a warm beige Indian granite with flowing brown-grey movement and a soft, homely effect. At ROSSITTIS it is used for worktops, stairs, floors and wall surfaces whenever a pale natural stone with more life than a standard granite is called for.

About Ivory Fantasy

Ivory Fantasy combines brightness with movement. The material shows a warm beige to ivory ground tone, over which brown, grey and darker mineral sweeps run that make the stone considerably livelier than an evenly grained standard granite. That is precisely why Ivory Fantasy is well suited to projects that are meant to look friendly and warm without moving into the calm homogeneity of Bianco Sardo or Padang TG34. In kitchens, stairwells, floors and wall claddings this produces a surface with natural dynamism and at the same time usable suitability for everyday life.

Finishes

Ivory Fantasy is available in a range of finishes. The finish affects appearance, feel and the care it needs.

Polished

Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.

Satin-honed

The satin surface is created by brushing, which selectively removes softer minerals and gives the surface a slight depth. A matte appearance with subtle light reflection and a warm feel to the touch. Easy to maintain, insensitive to scratches and suited to everyday use — a popular alternative to a polish in modern kitchens and living spaces.

Care & fabrication

After installation, Ivory Fantasy should be sealed, particularly where the stone is used as a kitchen worktop or on pale floor areas. With water absorption of 0.48–0.56 %, a good sealer makes sense in order to make everyday cleaning and care easier.

For cleaning and care, use pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and a soft cloth or microfibre cloth. On warm beige surfaces, grease and water residues should not be left standing unnecessarily long.

Avoid aggressive deep cleaners and abrasive pads. Coffee, oil, wine or coloured kitchen liquids should be removed promptly so that no visual residues lighten or darken the surface.

Outdoors, regular cleaning, good drainage and the right finish matter. The finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block further down this page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ivory Fantasy suitable for a kitchen?

Yes. With a bulk density of 2,583–2,600 kg/m³, a flexural strength of 14.0–16.6 MPa and water absorption of 0.48–0.56 %, Ivory Fantasy is a readily usable pale hard stone for kitchen worktops – ideally with a clean sealer.

Which finishes are available for Ivory Fantasy?

The finishes available from stock are listed in the »Finishes« block on this page.

Where does Ivory Fantasy come from?

Ivory Fantasy comes from India. In the trade the stone is carried as a pale Indian granite, or rather a hard stone.

How do I clean Ivory Fantasy correctly?

For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners and a soft cloth are enough. On lighter warm beige surfaces in particular, grease and dye residues should not be left to act for long.

Is Ivory Fantasy frost-resistant?

Ivory Fantasy can also be used outdoors if the build-up and the finish are right. For stairs and terraces a matt, textured finish is usually the better choice than a polish.

Ivory Fantasy or Crema Marfil – which is better?

Crema Marfil looks more homogeneous and more classical, but as a limestone it is more acid-sensitive. Ivory Fantasy is more lively in its markings and more robust in everyday use. For kitchens, Ivory Fantasy is usually the more relaxed choice.

What does Ivory Fantasy cost?

The price depends on the batch, thickness, surface finish and fabrication — with natural stone there is no serious flat rate per square metre. Business customers see prices once their B2B account is activated; private customers receive a complete quote through a fabricator near them.
