About Kashmir White
Kashmir White is one of the bright granites that do not appear strictly white. The ground colour is white to light grey, with softly distributed darker minerals, slight clouding and sometimes a fine reddish-brown or burgundy accent. It is precisely this that makes the stone appear more natural and more homely than very homogeneous white granites. For kitchens, stairs, window sills and classic interior fit-out this is a very popular combination of brightness and everyday suitability.
The name Kashmir White is used in the market for various related bright hard stones. For the Indian classic, the trade classification as granite is decisive, even though the exact petrographic placement tends towards granulite. In practice the material is compared with granite and used in exactly the same way. Against Colonial White, Kashmir White often appears somewhat livelier and more mineral; against Bianco Sivec, markedly more robust and easier to care for.
Technically, Kashmir White is clearly on the side of resilient hard stones. Public data give, depending on the variant, bulk densities of about 2,611 to 2,700 kg/m³, water absorption of about 0.18 to 0.46 %, compressive strengths of around 135 to 204 MPa and flexural strengths of about 9.1 to 16.3 MPa. Added to this are frost resistance and the usual acid resistance for non-calcareous rocks. For kitchens, stairs and many external applications this is a convincing profile.

For very calm minimal rooms the image can sometimes be almost too lively, but for classic residential and contract applications it fits outstandingly well.
The honest assessment: Kashmir White is not an ultra-homogeneous white stone. Its strength lies in the mixture of brightness, natural stone character and robustness. Anyone looking for exactly that gets a very well-proven granite classic.

Polished
Polishing is the most classic finish in the hard stone segment — a mirror-smooth, high-gloss surface with the highest possible colour intensity and maximum depth effect in the mineral structure. As an acid-resistant silicate stone, polished granite is easy to care for and the first choice for kitchen worktops, wall claddings and prestigious exposed surfaces.
Satin-honed
The satin surface is created by brushing, which selectively removes softer minerals and gives the surface a slight depth. A matte appearance with subtle light reflection and a warm feel to the touch. Easy to maintain, insensitive to scratches and suited to everyday use — a popular alternative to a polish in modern kitchens and living spaces.
Care & fabrication
Kashmir White is easy to care for, but on bright kitchen and bathroom surfaces it should nevertheless be sealed. This makes care easier with oil, coffee, limescale and other stain carriers.
For cleaning and care, pH-neutral natural stone cleaners are enough. Bright surfaces benefit when metal abrasion, grease films and limescale rings are removed regularly.
Abrasives and aggressive specialist chemicals are unnecessary. The material is robust, but the surface and the joints repay a matter-of-fact approach to care.
Outdoors, the right finish, good drainage and proper installation are more important than additional chemical care.
